I have never been or indeed probably ever will set foot there. I cant see that they would have anything at all to offer me. Simon did recently buy Chris over. Ive known Chris for years. I have also known of Simon for many years. Not as a friend, but I know of him. He would never be a friend of mine. I prefer more honest people.

Ive been tuning cars since I was able, and know a lot of people in such circles, so would hear more about them than most. Im also local to them, and know of mechanics they use to fix their cock ups ( regularly I might add )
I have first hand taken part in repair of vehicles damaged by their inability.
I know first hand several other people who have done similar.
I have heard many 2nd hand stories to similar effect, of damage caused. Not all from RR, most are due to very poor workmanship.

Funniest one has to be a few months ago. They were to fit a water spray for the intercooler on an Impreza. Easy job really.
What the customer got in return, was a car that wouldnt go properly anymore, and when the engine did make boost, water was sprayed....onto the rear window !!!!!!!!! PMSL Now seriously. Its bad enough doing that, but giving the car back to a customer like that ???????????

Browse a few local forums( Jon44w.com, Bangorcruise, Just-cruizin etc etc ), and you will find I am not alone with my feelings towards them.
I was very vocal about it when they first opened, but as Chris was sort of a friend, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and let them work away, without speaking up.
IMO it was a very unfair decision to their paying customers, who for a lot of them will have been ripped off. Certainly some parts they sell are at very good prices, but I would never reccomend you let them fit them.

There arent too many people who actually know much about cars, actually return to them for work. It amazes me they are still in business, but as I understand, that car washing is the mainstay of their business. I guess you cant go wrong there.
Most get wise fairly quick that they are incompetent.

IMO running a car tuning firm, eventually you would think a fast car would emerge from their doors if for no other reason than as a demo ???

Not one fast car has passed theirs, and probably never will, unless they buy one and dont touch it...

Hi me again, well I only trust David & Gregg Connelly of TORQUE FLYTE to work on my car, but Doagh has a rolling road, and will never work on my car.

So as rolling road figures go, as I will not be heading to England its fine by me,

Its hardly a Bugatti....but it is coming along nicely. These things just take so much time, work and planning, most people dont have a clue whats involved or how many hours work a project like this can take, and how many problems there are along the way..

It also doesnt have 1001bhp, yet.......... But the blower is rated for 1200bhp but full potential is a long way off for the time being..
My original aim was for 1000bhp, as its just such a nice sounding number, but I dont really think I'll ever push that far. I expect around 800rwhp should be enough to keep me happy..

I thought I explained the reason for such a "high" power output ??? A rather optimistic Rolling road would be that reason.

Im not ditching anyones car here, or its performance. Im just trying to bring everyone into the real world.

Well Stevie may have his explaination, but for me well.

Fully Gas Flowed Heads, Different Cam and from my source also bigger valves with the full HC spec which is not much. What did it cost, Nothing was already on the car when I got it, also this was all new with the car when it left the factory in '96.

Just lucky for me.

Colin L

Oh Stevie why not come on down to Kirkistown on the 2nd May and see the car and the rest of the TVR's. May be then we can chat over your thoughts on things.

ColinL can you post your print out from the rolling road here and settle this for once and for all, as there seems to be a fair amount of interst in your figures.
