Have noticed since domestic manufacturers have disappeared that Motor and Wheels seemed to have disappeared up Kia and Hyundai's aholes and just gushing with praise for anything they do, even if they haven't driven the product.

Anyone else seen it?

I don't buy either mag, so don't know about them.

What I do see is that other magazines, & the NRMA, & RAXQ are full of overpriced European stuff, that you would have to be mad to buy.

After our experience with European Fords & Peugeot, & relatives experience with Audi & VW mean I don't even look at reports on them.

I don't have any desire for Korean products, but do think they are improving very quickly, & a couple if friends have had unexpectedly good service from their Kia.

I bought as 2016 Tucson, one of the best family cars I've owned , if not the best. My wife has been driving a new i30, blows away Corollas and other small cars.

And then I've been to motorshows in Bangkok and Singapore this year, the Japanese are boring, bland, uninspiring. The Koreans are much more exciting, the designs look great and there are some exciting models imminent - Stinger and the N Series i30 for example, also a G70 Hyundai I think

2-3 years ago I would have had a different opinion, but the Koreans have upped their game immensely so the journalists are somewhat justified I think

Neither brand sells anything I'd drive, so no. I've not really seen it.

I know they are improving in quality though. At the same time that Toyota and Honda are reducing theirs.
