Don't know too much about this one - seemingly the first trial October event here at
Damyns Hall Aerodrome,, Aveley Road, Upminster RM14 2TE - Ten minutes from M25 J30 (they had a Military show a couple of months ago, but this may have been washed-out by the poor weather back then) - Havering Classic Car Club is seemingly a relatively new club.
I'm going to take a drive here this morning as its only ten minutes away for me and the Vette needs a 'warm-up. This is a small private airfield with more of a family oriented low key feel than some of the other outer London airfields. They have flex-wing and three axis microlight schools here.

I believe there is a flying day at Duxford the same day so perhaps they are hoping for fly-in visitors from this.

Free Autumn Fly-In and Vintage Day, at Damyns Hall airfield, in Aveley Road, will feature aircraft displays; The RAF Hornchurch and Battle of Britain Road show; the Havering Classic Car Club; vintage motorcycles; radio-controlled flying models; aviation artist Barry Weekley; and 1940s music.
Organiser and historian Richard Smith said: “This show, which if a success, might become an annual date in the calendar.
“Aircraft taking to the air, if weather is suitable, will include 80 per cent scale Spitfire and Mustang replicas. It is hoped that a number of aircraft will fly-in from other airfields to display.”
There will also be a book and print signing featuring WW2 RAF veterans at the show, which is from 10am till 4pm.

Any idea of the date that it's planned for? smile
We went to the military show, a fair few general classics out and fields full of military stuff, a RAF helicopter and simulator, loads of army surplus stalls.
The weather was okay till one huge downpour, then the sun came back out.
There was a fly past of one plane but I think the Olympics being on limited the flights.

This was a bit of a last minute thing for the 14th Octber and from what I gather was probably as a result of the rain-off at the last event - nevertheless is was a pleasant low key place to go - we'll have to see if it becomes more organised in the future!
