A thumbs up for Tyre Shop Witham, etc.
They must've sacked the s who fked up my tyre fitting then. Or preferably tortured them after receiving my feedback in response to their email.

The alignment guy was OK though.

Another thumbs up for Witham Tyre Shop, went there today for alignment on my Smart Fortwo.. which was pulling to one side and the steering wheel wasn't straight, it had already been to a basic garage who failed to sort it..

These guys however have got it absolutely spot on, and I mean spot on as I'm a fussy git! The rear isn't adjustable on my car so only had the front done, total cost £36, seems a bargain for a set up on a Hunter!

Just called Witham Tyre Shop after reading the recommendations on here, unfortunately they are closing on Friday this week (2nd June). The guy I spoke to said they won't be re-opening unless they can find another suitable premises.

That's a bummer...

Google alignmycar to find another garage with a Hunter machine and hopefully employs somebody who knows how to use it.

Wheeltraders done mine a few days ago, bunch of good guys I've been going to for my tyres for years. Used to be in Rainham now they've moved to opposite Jump Giants in Lakeside.

New machine I think, I didn't have to pay for the check - they've got an offer on atm for free checks throughout the month of June

Had mine done last week at Jet Wheel and Tyre centre on the Manor trading Estate in Benfleet. Very pleased with ther work and they have a very professional operation there - you can watch the alignment screen from their waiting area and the chap who did my car took me out to the machine, once it was all hooked up, to explain what he was seeing and if that was consistent with my experience on the road. I would recommend them and use them again.

I don't think they were very good anyway,

I took my M3 to the Tyre shop in Witham and they couldn't correct the steering wheel pointing left whilst driving straight on, (after I hade replaced the tie rods and track ends) Also told me they couldn't adjust the camber on my car? Warning lights came up on my drive home I went back again (another day quiet a distance) they tried again couldn't fix it. Left grease all over my seat. Phoned and said there was nothing more they could do. and wouldn't refund me.

I then took it to Wheels in motion and they had a go twice but at least this time they did the camber as well.

Turned out that my left rear spring was cracked and none of them had noticed I did after bleeding the brakes. After I replaced the spring it pointed straight ahead again!

Sigh!

Kwik Fit in Billericay have a Hunter Extreme alignment machine, they are also offering what they call Geocare for £149, this allows you to return upto 8 times in a period of 24months for free alignment. That's just under £17 per visit for alignment.

So basically every 3 mths just pop in and be realigned without having to pay anything extra.

I've had my VXR8 done there over the last 3 years with no issues and the Geocare package makes it a no brainer really.
