Billericay - Chelmsford - Maldon - Colchester
https://www.jardinemotors.co.uk/ferrari/news/70th-...

Bizarrely they've forgotten to put a date on the webpage biggrin but I believe the date I have added is correct.

I'm 50/50 on getting involved and if I do, I would probably just do the Billericay to Chelmsford bit.
When they celebrated the 60th Anniversary, we were given a stern talking to by the Traffic Police about obeying the Speed Limits, before setting off from Lancasters. The convoy was not above the law. Apparently...

You can only get involved through Lancasters and the places are all taken. There is a reserve list though if you want to contact them.

ETA the convoy will be escorted by police motorbikes and all convoy cars will be identified as such. The lead car is something very special indeed.

I'm looking forward to it wink

Thanks for the info. I will spectate.
Presumably Lancasters reached out to their customers first.
What car will you be in?

The 60th was a bit of free for all - my 308 in the background with a mystery woman...

Yes they did. I'm expecting to have the Vetro back from Foskers for then but will use the 575 if the 308 falls through.

Sadly not. They'll drive slowly through Chelmsford but no longer going to park up.

That's the new shopping centre - they can't really drive through there easily; unless they are planning on going through the pedestrianised bit & then maybe up Waterloo Lane to New Street.

Quoting myself here... but noticed yesterday evening that the parking bays on Waterloo Lane are suspended on Saturday so suspect that the cars will be in that area.

No info on the route but I suspect you're correct on that front. We'll be following 'safety cars' mainly FFs and Cali Ts...worth watching it to see the lead car. I've not seen one in the flesh, and no, it's not an 812. There's a list of cars taking part on the Lancaster website.

I've just had lunch in Billericay so will watch it pass through.
Was hammering down 10 mins ago, but brightening up now smile

Just walked out into the High Street and word has obviously spread, lots of people stood waiting!

Hope the rain holds off.

I was disappointed with last week's display in Windsor, oldest car being approximately 1973.
70 year birthday should include something from 50s n 60s.

It rained there too.

Hope Essex can do better, and someone post pics please.....smile
