The Kent & Essex Spotted Thread!
Discussion
I'm guessing there was some kind of Ford meeting in the Southend area today. Saw the following cars in a loose convoy on the A127 heading towards the M25
Granada 2.3L (blue, lowered and quite cool)
2 x Capri's
1 x MK1 Fiesta
1 x Ford Probe
All appeared to have been breathed on a little, certainly not stock.

^^^^ Classic car and 50th anniversary of the Capri show at Dunton today.
That makes sense. What made me smile was that a number of the drivers were of a certain age, wearing straw hats for instance. I've always associated Fast Fords with a much younger age group. I guess we are all getting older... this observation (regarding the age of drivers and their cars) is very apt for me. Ouch!
Dark red 1992/93 Alfa 33 Sportwagon on New London Road in Chelmsford this morning - very cool. Clocked it a week or so ago from a distance, first one of those I've seen for years.

Never understand why someone would want to spoil the look of a nice car with an absolutely tragic plate. Such a shame.
Who are they spoiling it for James? Some random person on the Internet? If they've decided to put the plate on their car they clearly don't feel its spoiling it do they? They are obviously comfortable with it so why would they care what a complete stranger thinks?
The absolute fking mental cases from the bad number plate thread have been infecting other areas of PH lately, please let's keep all this bks corralled in one place.

Slightly odd response but fair enough. I have no doubt that they couldn't care less what I or anyone else with the same opinion (see above) thinks about their illegal plate. I was simply giving my opinion that in my eyes it spoils what otherwise is a great looking car, and that I don't understand the mindset of someone wanting to do that.
As for referring to anyone who has their own opinion about an illegal plate ''a mental case'', well again you're entitled to your opinion and yes there is a whole thread on it which you can avoid.
It has left me wondering though if the owner of the car is a Lion who works for the United Nations

Saw a Peugeot 205 GTi Dimma heading south away from Dartford on the M25 yesterday afternoon, looked fantastic.

Hadn't realised that that show was at North Weald otherwise I'd have gone along - some cool stuff there.

Yeah I've been to players before, and wasn't aware it was modified/hot hatch sort of show, got some very weird looks for turning up in an old Jag. Hadn't realised that that show was at North Weald otherwise I'd have gone along - some cool stuff there.
Red 488 Ferrari on New London Road in Chelmsford earlier.
