Looks like the the ideal teating place for my new Truck Horns on the 10 tonner.

And we can tunnel run in there and make lots of noise keeping within the speed
monitoring settings :-)

Thanks for posting up the info and photos...

Oh! I was up on the Southern Viewing Platform around 5.30

If the specs cameras are on the central reservation, what are these?

ETA: Just looked again and realised that that ARE on the central reservation... silly

Found that the tunnel is opening Southbound on the 6th Northbound a few days later in the Petersfield Post
http://www.petersfieldpost.co.uk/news/bordon/drivi...

And found this animated Video
http://www.highways.gov.uk/roads/projects/29300.as...

Infact the opening will be exactly 5 years from the project being given the go-ahead on the 6th July 2006

So has anyone done the maths on this one to see how long you have to wait for, after passing the first set of cameras to give it the beans through the tunnel and pass the second set still within the average speed (time). I guess the time it takes to pass through both sets at the correct maximum speed is the total time you would have to stay within.

Does that make sense? I am sure someone will correct me and come up with the total time.
Cheers Jon

I get what your saying, I was thinking about that too, like could you go the first half of the tunnel at 50 then the second half at 90? Because that should aveage out?
You won't be able to stop and wait because the radar will pick up a stationary or slow moving car and think there is an inncident.

Without puting pen to paper I would think 1 min

Seeing the tunnel is 1.1 miles and the cameras look as if just before and after
so that should near enough take a min to average 70mph

Just use a pace car. As long as they stick to the speed limit and you are following them past both cameras you can do what you like through the tunnel wink
