It's horror out on the roads round there at the moment.

This side (Milford/Godalming) isn't affected at all, no traffic on the A3 at all, easiest drive to work in a long time.

Tell me about it, I met a fecking great Scania using the entire road with more lights on than the Olympic Stadium near Milford last night, pissing rain, ABS triggered on a sloppy manhole cover and left me with no brakes. It was like driving into the sun so I couldn't see what the truck did, but he missed me so that's fine!

Tree on the embankment? Must have traveled a fair way?! Driver fall asleep or did the coach suffer a blowout or something?

ETA Aaah, just seen a headline on BBC News 24, I see where it's gone. Eesh.

Terrible news.

I feel maybe we should give the idea of a tunnel meet a miss for a while.

It's not anything to do with the tunnel, other than being nearby.

I'm so glad I took the night off, but feel guilty that the rest of the team were left to deal with it.

Very tragic event

Think a tunnel meet would be in bad taste.

Just my opinion.

Drove past earlier, forgot how steel the bank was there, surprised the coach didn't fall over, must have hit and wedges around the tree pretty well... :/

This really is a tragic event, for everyone involved. But i don't think it has anything to do with some piston-headers doing a tunnel run on some tarmac nearby to the event, weeks later.
