Need 4x new tyres for the xc90, default answer for e has always been micheldever tyres, but anyone recommend anywhere else to try before I have to drop £500 on a set of rubber? frown

When I was over that way, this is where I always went.

Try Autocraft in Kingsclere. It's owned by a chap who was a senior mechanic at Porsche in Reading for 10 years and they are brilliant. On the back of this they have managed to get a stunning deal on tyres which blows everyone else out of the water...including Tyre Barn and Micheldever. They tend only to supply them to people who are using the garage but if you call and ask for Andy i'm sure he will sort you out. 01635 298808.

Chris, the chap who owns it, lives only a couple of houses away from me. There is nothing that he and Andy, his son, don't know about cars and their workmanship is absolutely fantastic, with very reasonable labour rates.

Chris has been slowly re-building my Landy Series for me over the past 3 years (mainly to replace / uprate parts when I break it!) and he has worked absolute wonders on it. We also take our daily drivers to him for all and any work that is needed that doesn't require a main dealer stamp in the book.

Honestly, they are by far and away, the best indy around here.

Holy Thread resurrection

Just thought i'd add that we used Autocraft for all our cars too- really excellent at what they do. Also use the MOT place two doors down- proper old school MOT place.
