Popped in there yesterday and booked in a refurb on my 600 mile C63 wheel (don't ask) for Monday after a shockingly bad 'smart' repair done elsewhere - feel free to ask privately.
Seems like a great outfit - they showed me around the workshop and it seems the standard of work is impecable. They had some very nice machinery being worked on too. The nature of this wheel being satin black with a polished lip means it should be pretty tricky to work on - will report back when the job is done!

Thanks, have received a cheaper quote from elite car in Maidenhead so will be checking both.
Elite Car Care are decent quality for sure. They will be doing my next set.
Add me to the "recommend" list for these guys.
I had a run in with a horrendous series of potholes clustered together; one rim was fairly buckled and it was 50/50 in my mind as to if it'd be fixable; on a closer look there were minor, but not ignorable, damage to the other wheels.
They didn't even bat an eyelid, said they could definitely fix it and come through - my wheels were a diamond cut/matt black finish and I was always cleaning them, they recommended a switch to gloss black (keeping the diamond cut faces) and they have done a great job both mechanically but also in finish.... and for a reasonable price. Took a week but honestly not an issue for me (especially in current circumstances, not much on my dance card) so yeah, double thumbs up.
P.S. Apologies for the holy thread resurrection come up on my search and figured rather than ping open a new one I would add to the existing.

I do wonder if something had changed there, I called a couple fo months back to get a quote for my 458 wheels and the guy on the phone sounded pretty clueless ie immediate reaction was 'most Ferrari wheels are magnesium' which is just rubbish and can't quote even an approximation without seeing them.
I've not given up on them as they did a fantastic job on my FF wheels a few years back and i recall back then the boss being knowledgable and fastidious in terms of quality, perhaps I just got to speak to the wrong person

Can I ask advuce please as a first time alloy owner?
Having my diamond cut GTD wheels refurbed there at the moment. My other half curbed it and buckled the edge slightly.
Typically they were diamond cut, so mega expensive to repair. I went to pick it up this morning and it wasn't ready. They've said they had to do extra work to 'straighten' it and because of that on one side the indents on the alloy have been completely lathed off.
They've said the only thing they can do it paint them back on.. can anyone confirm for me if this 'straightening' process would do that to a rim? I thought they would heat the wheel, reshape the dent/rim, then strip off and redo previous paint.
Would they have to strip off that much metal on one edge? I'm asking because I honestly don't know, so would appreciate any confirmation either way. I did research online, but can't find answers to confirm or deny. Photo attached of before and the indents that they are now painting back on. Thank you 😊

Lightly kerbed/failed lacquer means a diamond cut can be repaired up to 3 times. If you’re talking indents on the face of the wheel then no it cannot be salvaged when too deep. Having my diamond cut GTD wheels refurbed there at the moment. My other half curbed it and buckled the edge slightly.

Can you clarify. Did they straighten the face side or the back of the wheel?? If it was the back and they caused damage to the face then that doesn’t sound right.
Lessons learned. Always get them to show you what works will need to be carried out. Then agree or disagree... ask questions... when I took mine to a place they showed me how bent it was and what would need to be done.
In fairness, diamond cut are not practical for UK roads. Road salt in winter sees them degrade quickly. A powder coat is more durable and you’re delaying the inevitable where they would have needed a paint at some point... however, as said if they damaged it then you could negotiate.
