Looking for recommendations on who can professionally apply underseal in the North-east.

Got a Mustang on order but by all accounts the underseal that Ford Europe can just about be bothered to apply to the cars in Zeebrugge is pretty wk. So rather than tiring myself out beating up the dealer, think I'll just get it done myself. The car will be a keeper, so want it done right. A colleague got his done at a place in Glasgow, but ICBA going that distance just for underseal.

Ashley Lane is just round the corner, thanks guys.

Ian, yeah, the Jeep was sold in the beginning of January, wanted to sell it whilst there was some value in it ie no where near MOT time! Was getting tired of driving such a rough vehicle and could never really trust it. The Mustang has been the plan for a few years now. Hoping to get an October build date (missed September), which would mean the car will be here in the New Year.

Thread resurrection time... Did you ever get this done? The nice MOT tester that passed my car back in July pointed out a couple of areas of minor surface rust and exposed metal underneath it and suggested it might be wise to get them rubbed back and sealed so I'm keen to find somewhere that can sort this out.

Have to admit that I haven't, been a master of procrastination and it seems non-urgent with a new shiny car. It's at the back of my mind though!

No worries, thanks anyway - think I'll give them a ring anyway based on the strength of the existing recommendations, I'll report back if I go ahead.

If Warren at NE can't fit you in I got my GTi undersealed with Dinitrol at Castle park in Ellon and was very pleased with service, car was taken in all the liners etc removed, cleaned underneath and any surface bits rubbed down. Then the car was undersealed in the cavities also using the dinitrol and left to dry. Neil there was spot on and sent me pics before and after and had the car for a total of 3 days or so.

Thanks all. Any rough idea what sort of cost I can expect for this sort of thing?

I can also recommend Castlepark Autobody, they did my brand new MX5 in September using Dinotrol in all cavities and underneath for £400 ish.

I have another car I would like rust proofing, but Castlepark no longer offer the service frown due to the mess it creates in their workshop.

Any further suggestions? I have contacted North East 4 by 4 in Stonehaven who are apparently authorised Dinotrollist's.

I had my vxr8 done at protect and preserve outside Glasgow. 5 min walk to local station and plenty trains back and forth. Superb service.

I was going to say preserve and protect too. Not a personal recommendation but only heard good things about their work.

My latest plan is to get AW Autotech to do the biz when they reopen next week. Although interesting that Titch at NE4x4 does the Dinitrol stuff. Hmmm.

Stewart Roden down near Edinburgh did the underseal on my Vantage while doing the service. Fairly priced and top job.

I was in the same boat us you as had used castlepark before. My mate recommended me The Thin Blue Line in Daviot just outside Inverness who are a Dinitrol agent so I put my Civic to him and was very pleased with the job done.

I’m sure I read that DJ autos in Westhill do this service.

Have only ever used them for servicing and MOT’s but no complaints.

DJ have done a couple friends underseal, one a fresh import and a couple others just older cars needing to stay fresh. All pretty good jobs!

Hi folks thread resurrection time!

I was wondered if anyone knew of anyone still doing this as all of the ones previously mentioned in the thread do not seem to offer this service any more.

Cheers
