Hi,

I know we have as few Detailers on here, so putting the feelers out to see if anyone interested in doing a paint protection job on my car.

Its a 1 year old A Class AMG Line. Needs a through wash, Claybar / decontamination. Mild mopping, and i would like it Ceramic coated.
I only ever wash the car by hand using a 2 bucket method, so the 1yr old paint is still in good condition. But there are definite holograms that need polishing out.

Im disabled, so funds are a bit limited. But i will pay a fair price for the days work and materials.
  • Whitley Reading. Got a double drive with plenty of room, and a mains pressure tap outside if that helps. Will keep you topped up with endless cups of tea too :-)
Feel free to PM me with quotes.

Thank you.

Do you have a covered area that the ceramic coating can be applied in?

If not then I wouldn't recommend doing a ceramic coating.

but I would be prepared to help you out you decide you'd like to use a durable wax/sealant.

I would charge you £150 for a durable wax/sealant.

If you have a covered area and want the ceramic coating I can do that as well at £110 extra.

You would be better off waiting until the spring if you wanted a ceramic coating applied. There are a number of coatings which can be applied outside, under a gazebo or similar, but the curing which happens in the hours after, needs to be taken into consideration.

Indeed. I suggested a durable wax for the mean time.

Any coating "can" be applied outside if need be but the variation in curing time from direct sun etc makes them very difficult to use and it's best if there's a decent 8-12hr of time where the car can rest without getting any bird st / rain / dust on it hence why I only apply it to cars inside.

Done coatings on cars outside and it never felt right.

Thanks for the replies all.

Xjay is going to sort my car out. And yes will put off the Ceramic coating until next year once we start getting decent weather again.

I'm local (Spencers Wood) and can do the coating here if that helps at all. Could also do the paint correction but am flexible if you did want XJay to do that and then bring it here for the coating etc smile Will send you a pm.

Can also rent the studio out for someone to do the work if that would appeal as well as I can see you've asked XJay to do it smile
