Testing the water

I am looking for a new challenge in the job market and would like to see if there is demand for what i have in mind.
I am by trade an auto electrician but for the last 20 years have had a desk job either designing parts or more recently writing software and testing control systems and interfaces on trucks and body systems. Before this I used to work for The car electrical centre and surrey auto electrical.
What i would like to do now is offer a service combining all my skills in brief,
Fault diagnosis on electrical systems on anything.
Design of control systems to reduce wiring and labour for commercial body builders.
Help with VCA approval etc
What do you guys think?

s on the MOT tests where even an amber EML is apparently a fail.
