Is there a fundamental law, governing the universe which dictates that the A322 section past the Fire Station needs to be constantly faffed around with?

They’ve redesigned it several times, what on earth are they doing to it now???

It's closed at the moment due to a burst water main and will be for the next day or so. But I think they are making it a dual carriageway.

Shame about the burst water main, but making it a dual-carriageway has been long overdue - that stretch has long been the "missing link" on the A322. banghead

Update to the burst water main: resurfacing is currently taking place but the road should be open later this afternoon (Friday 21st).

It's a few years since I commuted using that route, but I'm sure there have been 2 previous long term partial closures on that stretch. Hopefully, once it's finished they'll leave it alone!

You're lucky in that case!

In 15+ years of living within BFC if they can find a way to f*ck roads up they will definitely go for it.

After all they had no problem reducing the A3095 to single lane traffic for over 6 months to provide access to Broadmoor! But I can't help thinking the "loonies" were the councillors, rather than the Psychos - oops, patients!

I really can't remember the last time Yorktown Road in Sandhurst didn't have some temporary lights somewhere. banghead

Still it's good to know that I get no input into such stupidity, but I have to fund it - democracy in action!
