So the Ginetta Owners Club ?

i agree with the comments, but dont agree with calling it a kit car club.
The marcos OC dont refer to their club like that, and they made far less type approved cars than Ginetta, same goes for classic lotus
Even the older cars that could be thought of as kits, like the G4, were mostly supplied assembled with mostly engine and box to install
All Marcos cars were factory built from about 1992, and for a few years before that they sold complete cars in parts and Marcos were very twitchy about calling them kit car, said they were 'component cars'. As a Marcos owner I had a chat to the Ginetta club at Tatton Park a few years back about when Ginetta was going to be building a G50 road car. Nice bunch of people I would say. But where is my G50 road car ? Yeah I know about the Farbio ..The marcos OC dont refer to their club like that, and they made far less type approved cars than Ginetta, same goes for classic lotus

Marcos Club had seperate problems with fall out many years ago between club and new Marcos, there are now three Marcos clubs where there used to be one - I would say to make every attempt to avoid going down that path. Far better to be all inclusive, it is very hard to bring things back together, even 20 years later.
Why not stop moaning, then join the club, then do your bit and help out?
The club has a great private forum for members too.
Easier to carry on moaning I suspect?
Remember very few pre LNT Ginettas were made and many less are used on the road so the club is always going to be very small compared to Lotus or TVR but thats what makes them more interesting. If LNT ever start making road cars then maybe membership would increase?

Website: ............ and not very active,
Andrew would be miffed to read thisSometimes I have a peek to see if anything interesting is there and nobody has posted for days, then there's a spate of posts but invariably they are from the same bunch of members.
In fact, I went on yesterday ...I went on today (this very minute) - just 10 new posts.
Then again, look how quiet this Ginetta forum can be!
I could add that even the factory appears quiet for some reason.
And Dare... even quieter still.
How do you change that? I have no idea.
with the majority being G15 owners they can of course turn to the Imp Club, which is of course thriving, but even they have their difficulties.

Penance for this outrage shall be 10 posts on the GOC forum Actually make that 5 as I don't want the site bandwidth compromised
Would be nice with more activity but generally with sites, as activity increases the posts relevance to the core subject decreases. As a club catering for a relatively small number of cars produced we do pretty well.
Cheers all,
John - I expect that penance to be paid up by August at the very earliest.
I meant not actively participated in... I'm just saying how I see it. This is not meant against Andrew, someone has to take on these thankless tasks and good on him.
