Hi everybody I was driving my 2004 TDCI mondeo with 119,000 miles when it lost all power and the yellow coil light started flashing so I took it straight to the garage and the plugged it in and told me the turbo had gone I wasn't very happy so I took it home and parked it up. The next day I got in it to move it and it was driving fine again all day till latter that night when it done it again lost all power the next day I took it to a different garage and the same thing the turbo has gone . I've not used it for two days got in it today driving fine all day I'm no mechanic but if the turbo had gone it would not just start working again would it ?? And ideas thanks
If it's intermittent then it won't be the turbo, possibly the EGR valve sticking or a fuel blockage to the injectors. Check the easiest/cheapest stuff yo fix first then progress to more complicated if it's not fixed. I'd clean the EGR valve first and check connections to sensors then if not fixed, change the fuel filter then clean the injectors.

Electric actuator on those turbo IIRC, so 'turbo gone' is shorthand for "I think the turbo actuator has an intermittant electric fault that I cannot diagnose correctly. I don't think I can change the actuator, and even if I could, there may be stuff in the turbo that's causing it to fail. So I'll change the turbo"

I've just bought an 05 plate mondeo which has been stood for a while with the battery dead and only about 5ltrs of fuel in the tank. Once started and run for a while, the glow plug light was flashing and engine management light on solid. Would these problems contribute to the issue? I need to read and clear them to start over.

Hi guys I have the same problem replaced Fuel Filter and EGR valve still the same there seems to be 2 or 3 things that can cause this injectors fuel filter Fuel Pump I have got new injectors but don't want to change them over till I know for sure what the problem is I purchased an OBDII Scan Tool but its telling me there are no codes yet the glow plug light is still flashing and I'm still in limp mode

And ideas or advise would be very much appreciated... Cheers
