Pistonheads is Pistonheads - some insurers may discount for being a user here, others might not.

With regards to Ford RS Owners Clubs, there are numerous ones out there spread between full Membership clubs, forum only clubs and Facebook groups dependent on whether you have a Mk1, Mk2, or Mk3, just type it into Google. Some have specific insurer discounts for membership.

While there are many Ford groups/Facebook pages that may or may not be run like official clubs with chairman/secretary/treasurer people and give discounts, I can't comment on that as Iv never used them.
There's only one official "Ford RS owners club" http://www.rsownersclub.co.uk
It tells you all about insurance on there. They do have an insurance liaison officer and several associated companies that deal with insurance. I use need2insure for mine and as a member of the RSOC I do get a discount with them. How much it actually works out at I'm not so sure as insurance is mega competitive and companies are giving discounts to just about anyone for anything these days. Although Iv been a member for 20 years or so I never used he clubs insurance even with the discount, as it was cheaper elsewhere. But I do use it now
One of the main advantages IMO to being a member is you get a free valuation of your RS by a registrar of your chosen type of RS, what the associated companies regard as an expert in his field and get an agreed value in writing which is very seldom challenged should the worst happen to your car. This alone is worth the £30 yearly fee, less money than a tank of petrol for a good bit of peace of mind.

I used Adrian Flux and insured with AXA.. they allow a discount for RSOC membership. Not sure on the amount though. Plus I have full NCB on my Focus ST which they've allowed a large part of it to be used on the separate RS policy. As it's a 2nd sunny day/weekend car, I have also limited mileage of 5000 a year which made a big difference to the quote.
