I've a Mk4 Titanium X Mondeo with the Convers+ system.

If the headlights are on, after about 20 minutes or so it'll report that the lights aren't working, however all the lights are working just fine.

I've checked connections and even replaced the bulbs anyway but it makes no difference.

I put a scanner on the car to see if there was a duff module or something but it was clear.

Whilst it arguably doesn't matter it affects my OCD so would like to know if there is a module or voltage sensor or something that health checks the bulbs that's faulty, there have been a few other electrical gremlins on the car (ACC module was poorly, electric seats don't work) so wonder if this is going to require a similar fix.

Any advice would be appreciated.

My Titanium X Sport very, very occasionally does this. Except it only flashes up for a couple of seconds before deciding that in fact everything is okay.

I have concluded that it is just getting momentarily confused by the HID system - after all, unless I'm missing something, I'm not sure how you can electronically detect a xenon bulb failure!

I know this doesn't help you..!

How old is the battery? Replacing my 7 year-old factory battery with a brand-new 85ah beast did cure a couple of random, very minor electrical oddities.
