A neighbour of mine has an issue with his 2014 Focus tdci. The car starts up and all warning lights on the dash are off. Turning the wheel to the left when stationary and the abs and tcs lights illuminate and he has said the speedo stops working if in motion. Anyone had similar issues? I have read online the speedo reads from the sensor on the near side?

Thanks for any replies.

Speed is normally read from the ABS unit, which normally takes it from the wheel speed sensors. Not sure which one, and it might be an amalgamation of all 4.
TCS will also take readings from the steering angle sensor.

It might be you have a steering angle sensor gone, or maybe the wiring to the wheel is breaking in some way when the wheel turns. No way of telling without diagnostics / live data.
