Kuga Gearbox Problems

Hi,
I am after some advice - I bought a used 13 plate (registered July 13) Ford Kuga from a Ford dealership in Sept 2016, with 25K miles on the clock, £16.5K and full Ford service history.
Early Jan 2018 (40K miles on the clock), it developed a gearbox fault. Since then, it's been back to the garage three times and is still there now - they don't seem to be able to diagnose the fault, let alone fix it.
I contacted Ford UK customer centre, and all they are doing it following up with the garage each day for me - don't seem to be pushing them at all.
Whenever I phone the garage, I just seem to get delaying tactics... "we're working on it". They're not very good at answering the phone either!.
Anyone got any advice on how I can approach this to get it sorted?
