New boy here - just bought a non running Scorpio Cosworth BOB. No red key, suspect immobiliser, does anyone have a workaround?

It's likely its the PATS element, if you have a key it'll checking - I had a mate with a Mk6 Escort where he had to tape the spare key to the inside the steering column. PATS can be removed by an auto sparky, but the costs may be more than the car is worth. Other option you have is to get an ECU/PATS/Keys/locks from a breaker that is known to be working.
