In attempting to remove the map sensor on daughters ‘04 cmax
the torx bolt that secures the sensor in place has sheared off
I’m guessing it’s just self tapper or similar as it only goes into the plastic manifold . If I end up with a replacement manifold from an online parts seller how will I know what bolt I’ll need ? or any suggestions for facilitating a repair on the original manifold, thanks Tony

If you want the exact part, probably the easiest thing to do is go to a parts counter and use their on-screen diagrams to select the exact screw on the exploded diagram of the intake manifold assembly. If they've not got it in stock, probably not worth ordering it in (been there recently, and for some bolts I was quoted a 6 month lead time or something rediculous).

At a guess, it could be ford part number: 1349712 (but I'm not sure, just basing this on similar parts I have purchased recently)

To be honest, probably the easiest thing to do is go on amazon and purchase an assortment of self tapping screws for about £10 for say 300pcs (in approximately the right size range). You'll then have a whole selection to choose from, and also a load spare for other projects in the future..

I ended up removing the inlet manifold (no mean feat) extracting the “screw” as suspected not much more than a self tapper with a t25 head. got it out by drilling round it ( no wonder dentistry is so expensive) and a m bonding in an M5 thread insert

That ford part number looks like the original would have been, thank you

Awesome, glad you've got it fixed. Know the feeling, a sheared bolt can turn a 5 minute job into something that takes several hours!
