the numbers relate to the cars chassis number, so if you have your car in bits, you can see if all the fibreglass panels are original to the car.

Here is the inscription on the rear bulkhead (boot side) on my 1991 S3:




I hope that does not mean that it was a second!

I have had the targa panels recovered and this was on the fibreglass of one of them:



Mundane description but I like the dots and underlining.

When I modified the car, as others have, to stow the panels in the car I added my own:



Good fun!

Not so much factory graffiti but found this at the weekend on the door card of my 390SE. There is the name Steve just visible which I'm assuming is from the factory?

This is the artwork of 'jagged halo' (Brent is his real name), who was (and I'm sure still is) a fan of Gary Numan. Brent painted this artwork on a sheet of A4 for me and gave it to me at Thunderball in Feb 2007. The artwork has been in a frame in my office at home ever since.
