tuscanturner have a look at this http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
155 in a 450 chim , roof on . Speedo reads the same as sat navs since track v road changed wheels to 18" rear 17" front. nitron suspension fitted + the track felt very smooth. larger discs and 4 pot calipers were also fitted to front I was able to brake half way between cone and end of runway,a little scary later in the session with a bit of brake fade, must admit the track did not seem 2 miles long.Great fun, will do this again.

My diffuser began trying to jump ship at around 130 (laser blue t350) one hell of a noise... so called it at day after that plenty still left in it tho so next year will be quicker when its all fixed and pucker.
I was told the runway was only 1.4 miles so people were getting some impressive speeds up there!

Andy i finally removed my loose trim, took me about 30 minutes, every bolt fought me like a !!!! I was told the runway was only 1.4 miles so people were getting some impressive speeds up there!
Did you end up removing your trim, or just leave it in the end?
If you're in the TVRCC get your name down for an airfield run next year, managed 151 at Wittering in the wind and rain, 1.7 miles long and 3 times the width of Sherburn, that said Sherburn was excellent (Thanks Trickie), i'm sure i would have cracked at least 190 if that pesky trim hadn't come loose

I managed to get mine off after a couple of beers and some borrowed tools.. stuck it in my mates car and it now resides in my flat waiting for me to decide what to do next - its in a bit of state though Did you end up removing your trim, or just leave it in the end?

Airfield day sounds like a plan though!

I was told they were running in the engine, so no high speed runs.
Car was run in by early afternoon on Saturday so Jonny changed the oil and we upped the anti a bit. We then did some higher speed runs later in the day when it was quiet up to about 5k revs in the mid-gears. I took her out again on Sunday with the charity winners, Alison and John, but again didn't push it too far. I would guess I took John up to about 180/190mph but then I backed off and did this again on each run. The acceleration was far more fun than going fast on that kind of surface. In terms of max speed it might be worth checking with Steve Guest as he was following me in his Cerb on some of the quicker runs. He maxed out but I don't know how far ahead the CS12 was at the time. Maybe he could make an estimate. I didn't bother looking at the speedo and I didn't put anywhere near all the power down as that was never the intention. On a better quality surface it would be interesting to stretch her legs... so to speak!
The car was very controllable and never lary. Apart from using a sequential box and being very pleasantly deafened it was pretty easy to drive. My only error was thinking I was turning round at 10mph and I was nearer 70mph!.. No issues though and lesson learnt. Everyone involved is still beaming and I still haven't calmed down it was so exciting.
Could be two CS12's on the next outing!
I have no idea on this car so what sort of power is it running? 190 mph in 1.4 miles and then to stop again is pretty incredible, there are not many cars that can do that in 2 miles.

Must be putting out over 600bhp at wheels ??BTW, Many Congratulations Graham - you must be over the moon and chuffed to bits to have this back on the road at last, looking absoultely fabulous. Can't wait to see it in the flesh... Where might those two CS12s be turning up next ???
