It really must be a running model, Completely finished interior and able to be started up.

It should be a running car though, that is it is able to being started and driven in and driven out of the stand. Granted there is no need to let it tick over indoors for 2 days though....

Latest from TVR, seems there will soon be a working car!!!!

"Further to our recent announcement regarding the Public Launch of our new car at the Goodwood Revival, I thought I’d drop a quick line to update you on some of the details.

Firstly, for those of you who are not able to attend, please don’t worry as we intend to show the car at other events following Goodwood!

Secondly, and as mentioned previously, we will be suspending the taking of orders for the Launch Edition car on the 30th June. We will re-open the order book for the few remaining cars on the 8th September at Goodwood.

In acknowledgement of the fantastic support we have received from Lord March and the Goodwood team, we are reserving a small number of the LE cars specifically for GRRC members. These will be available on a first come, first served basis and only on the 8th, 9th & 10th at the Earls Court motor show.

For those of you who have already placed your order, I hope you can make it along to see us – the car will be a fully finished, running, production-intent vehicle although, due to vehicle age restrictions at the event, we will not be able to run it on the circuit, aside from which it will be the very first fully trimmed car, and I might bend it!

Look forward to seeing you at Goodwood!

Les"

Superb news.

We had planned to be at Goodwood this year but spent the money on continuing refurb of the house instead, shifting Goodwood to next year. Damn.

If the car was a working prototype then you would kind of expect to see a few spy shots in magazines of a car in camo paint in the Guildford area... or locals spotting in out racking up the miles.

So that leads me to suspect it is actually further from production at the moment.

Anyone seen it out and about ?

The test mule with all the running gear has done several miles, been to events.
I'd imaging the Goodwood car will be a one off completed model, hence Les's comments about not being allowed to drive it biggrin

The Cerbera with the Ford drive train has been around for 1~2 years.....so that aspect is well tested.

I'm no expert, but I'd guess all the other componentry/electronics can be tested in the workshop?....I'd echo other comments that the whole "reveal" thing is a drip feed to maintain anticipation?

But the interesting part of that announcement that instead the Welsh government have said they will put £100m over 10 years into building a newautomotive technology park in Ebbw Vale.

No doubt that will be linked to firms setting up there but companies like the new TVR will have far less interest now that the race circuit has gone. They've just lost their (almost) USP.

BSY confused
I forget his full name but he is the design guy at Autocar who does all the 'autocar images'. The drawings he produces always have BSY on the number plate.
