Maybe I missed something but I am still excited to find out what (we are now >2 months later) ;-)
Was it the news that the latest (direct injection) Coyote engine will be used and so the car gets a mini power boost?

edit: @madaboutastons: just curious, will you be able to test-drive the vantage before finally comitting ?
Ha ha fair question!

So, like the TVR if I wanted one of the first Vantages then I had to pay a deposit early and actually specified the car in December so will get it in July. The test drive I can do anytime now (but I am a little busy abroad). I have committed to the Vantage so I take your point. My little play in the camouflaged prototype in the AM car park in the snow in December doesn't really count.

So with TVR it is similar, I again have the choice, get the deposit back, wait for a car to test drive then place an order and get a car much later.

I just have a lot more faith in AM having owned their previous products and I know their aesthetics and that they work for me.

I don't expect any similarity between the new Griff and any prior TVR in terms of feel of the car hence I am more twitchy. Additionally TVR move up to a new higher price point hence the expectations are higher than you would have in an old Cerb!

But your point is well made!

Didn't want to make a point, honestly, but accept your concession wink

Really only wanted to know how AM handles it. They are an established company, premium segment, with thousands of cars sold, existing infrastructure, factories, sales channels etc. Situation at TVR is not remotely comparable.

But i guess queuing up for any special/signature/limited car will in a way be a tradeoff between knowing what you get and actually getting it.

ok its st, but you get the idea....
There's some mileage in that..the bottom / underneath edges of the head-lights need to encased within the body..and smoothed out.
Would look uber-cool if they could mimic the rear-LED's ...
Lights like you suggest remind me a little of the Alfa 2uettottanta concept...

That front end on the Griff and my deposit would be securely staying in their pockets!

I''m not so sure.

Something about it just doesn't look right...

Nice face the Alfa proto but is it street legal?
Few months ago I have done a try with well known TVR headlights:

I like that smile

Could you please also turn the mouth upside down to turn the gormless smile into a contemptuous snarl?

It’s rough but a bit like this:

I did this with my finger on an iPhone but the opening needs to be bigger (and cleaner obviously).

Edited to change crap to “rough”

You shouldn't, I'm an absolute butcher and a cowboy.

For the hard of thinking, thin snarly lip, bigger scowling sides:

Cool, TopGear website has the article from the current print-magazine about TVR online:

https://www.topgear.com/car-news/big-reads/take-cl...

edit:

Lol, from one of the comments:

"... Well done TVR. You've made a car that's gonna cure erectile dysfunction, something that Lamborghini and Aston Martin forgot how to do. ..."

Absolutely LUV the front of that Alfa..
Lights tend to look better ‘horizontally’ than vertically imo.. sleek, sexy n sinister...

We seem to go through regular cycles of fixing the front. I wonder now if they’ve already re-designed it, and every few weeks the new Tvr team sit back with a few drinks and watch the new designs unfold on here rofl
