I’m with spag on this - it’s the lights nothing else that ruin the looks of the front.

I am terrible at photo editing, but I've had a go at making the grin more of a rectangular shape, and hiding it in the shadow.

Plus making the headlights a little more aggressive, a bit 599.

the mouth is fine 'Coop...its just the lights..

I want to see them encased within the bonnet...and maybe a horizontal indicator below them...that "mimmicks" the rear lights...

You know what would immediately rescue the front end looks and immediately make the car unbeatably cool - POP-UP HEADLIGHTS!!!

The soon to be released Ares Panther (rebodied Huracan) has them so it’s possible for low volume manufacturers, even today.

They still need to tweak the grill shape though....

That’s really odd. I thought about pop up headlights on the car the other day! But wondered whether it would end up like a 456.

No, modern interpretation would be ultra cool and hugely distinctive. Just because it was cool 30 years ago, doesn’t mean it can’t be again. You’ve heard about fashion cycles right? 80’s/90’s is in now.

And in terms of automotive fashion, hyper aggressive angry styling has had its day. You know this simply by looking at main stream shopping cars today. Civic, Camry, etc. all look like they want to rip your head off.

That style is dead, and Merc and BMW have even acknowledged it and are moving away from angry styling.

How is Barry going to fierce out little old Ethel if his car doesn’t have a grill larger than Katona’s wizard sleeve?

TVR couldn’t even make bonnets that stayed fixed down..can ya just imagine the sarcasm from all the Porker’s in their pig~pen.... They’ll be mincing around on their hind trotters with their stoopid snouts in the air waving their tiny little arms in hysterics if they get wind of this notion...

Let’s kill this convo noooow before it gets outta hand !!

That’s the badge. wink

It has the same silly smile of a sunshine bus passenger that the TVR has. The only real difference is this is squinting in the light as it disembarks.

I agree that the car looks stunning but maybe it is as you mentioned the other day that the whole package helps overcome the glasto gurner face.
It doesn’t look the same to me. The differences aren’t much but they make a huge overall impression. I’m 100% sure that it isn’t the badge. As we’ve seen through the thread, we all view the car differently.

I’ve got no great love for Ferrari at all.
Nope doesn't look the same to me either. Just one example is the shape of the bonnet. The TVR's curves up in the middle emphasises the gormless mouth, the Ferrari has a minimalist straight form here.

I know what you mean..but there are quite a few optical Illusions going on that don’t tell the whole story.
The Fezza mouth looks far less aggressive imo once the ‘donkey’ has been removed...
This black and white pic is good, as it highlights the actual lights, and hides the teardrop ducts beneath them.

IMO this improves the look of the front end.
Ergo it might look good in a nice metallic dark grey.....

Indeed... I guess that's why the spoiler doesn't retract - don't want it to stop working after a few months. wobble

Fashions cycle, but pedestrian safety, aerodynamics and efficiency/emissions testing tend not to, and that's what's killed off pop-up headlights more than anything else
