Such a shame to see all the historical negative comments on this thread, I do not understand the need to speculate and try to undermine what other people are trying to achieve. Deposit holder or not, true enthusiast should be supporting this project, it is in all our interests for this to be a success.
That would be conceptually easy: launch a public share offer, or perhaps a bond issue. They needed (IIRC) £8m by the start of October. That is £8,000 for each of 1,000 LE buyers. Some might be happy to put up a lot more. If there are really 1,000 fully-paid deposits then platforms like Crowdcube would probably be a good place to start.

Of course, that would mean dilution for existing shareholders. But that might be the price of doing business.

Adeje, Tenerife is the contact place with a telephone number.
What happened to copyright? Surely Les and Co own the name etc?
So they expect punters to send that sort of money abroad when the photo is of a proper sag?

Strangely enough when I asked them what they were planning to do about copyright, they deleted the question. (Facebook)

At least they were good enough to stop using the images of my car when I asked them to. Or at least they had - they are back doing it again.

I discussed the front of the car with Les and he said they wanted to run the prototype car with maximum airflow through the front intake and so the current grill is at 98% throughput. They have found cooling to be well within spec and so have some freedom when designing the final grill and reg plate location. Note this is not a "front end redesign" but design of the final grill which was always part of the plan post the cooling tests with the prototype. Les mentioned that they will send some options out to the deposit holders for opinions and no decision had been made as yet. He quite liked the "traditional horizontal TVR split grill." but there were a number of options that they would share. Not to choose a final design but because engaging the deposit holders and getting feedback was important and would contribute to the process.

Anyway, the overriding impression I got from the chat with Les and Mike Tomlinson(?) was that these guys are all over it. They know exactly what they are doing - of course they do, just look at who is involved. The prototype is as it is for very specific reasons - they are not stumbling into this and have telemetry and sensors all over the car which will inform the final build. Everything we have raised here has been discussed and debated many times well before the prototype was built. Quite possibly even the funding wink

TBH I don't care if it takes another two years to get my car (and it may well) - this car is going to be like nothing else on the market and truly epic.

I had the same conversation ref grille, at Gratton Manor, as I remembered a (very) early interview/discussion somewhere that grille design may be an option from a few choices. Currently, open for maximum air intake.

It depends on what you think it is that you are buying. wink

The website suggests that you send a load of money to Tenerife and they will send you a kit car. Common sense tends to suggest that you send a load of money to Tenerife and they will send you nothing at all.

To me it looks like an opportunity for ten retards to finance someone’s lifestyle for a year.

hehe Sounds like a quick way to jail for someone in Tenerife.

Then again, could be a complete scam and they really live in Russia or China.

Just in case you all thought that high finance had recently taken over from the design critique..... my daughter works in nature conservancy, here's a photo of the caterpillar cake she's just made, it somehow looks familiar.... (and no, there are no caterpillars IN the cake)

The prototype ended-up at Coys: http://www.coys.co.uk/cars/2008-melling-wildcat-pr...
A winner was announced for the raffle: http://rochdaleonline.co.uk/news-features/2/news-h...
And then the winner was seen collecting it: https://www.facebook.com/273127116061235/posts/mel...

So I think on the balance of probabilities then yes it was handed-over.

It’s almost certainly a rehash of this long running scam.
