These renders are normally wide off the mark, for many reasons. A designer can't 'just' design a car, their are many rules which dictate what they can and can't do. The front and rear lights need to be at minimum heights, the bonnet must be however many inches away from the engine for pedestrian safety, just to name a few. A car hack won't care for these, he just wants a wow image to sell his mags. TVR though, they have to adhere to them.

Surely this has to be as tedious and worn out as any delusional TVR dream could ever be? Even if this was ever produced things have move on massively since the Blackpool days? Could this thing even compete in todays plethora of supercars on a bang for your buck ratio like the old models?Who in the UK even cares these days about such cars? Sorry to say it but things have moved on.
Anyone won’t drive Audi, BMW or a French car, and has decent taste.

Decent taste never moved on its an aspirational thing

Very temped by a Heuer Monaco but they only did the modem version with the crown on the right. Maybe next year...

Absolutely and as I got a spare its yours for £50.

And don’t try to say you’re not tempted - you’re always up for a deal regardless

Porsche Passport at $3000 per month seems pretty competitive with regular leasing options. Is this the trial of a new business model for Porsche where ownership is in essence optional?
A friend of mine has this and says it's great - he's selling his Cayenne GTS and just using it as he says the flexibility is so good. Basically fixed price motoring as I understand it - it includes fuel and everything (insofar as you can theorteically just keep requesting new cars each time you empty the tank). A steep price, but a good service.

I think we are going to see more and more of this in the coming years. Less ownership and more subscription models. I wonder how this will effect niche manufacturers such as TVR. They don't have the infrastructure to compete with such a concept, after all.

What a terrible concept!

I want to buy a car and call at mine. I have made the decision as to what I want and until such time that I feel like a change it's mine to be enjoyed, tweaked, thrashed, cleaned and driven some more.
The thought of chopping and changing on a sort of rental basis sounds typical of today's have now society.

I'll get my coat........getmecoat

I love owning my old V8 110 Land Rover. It is a true "ownership experience" - with all the highs and lows that conjures up. I bought it during the financial crisis - the "man logic" being that, if the st really hit the fan, I could pack up the family and head for the hills, driving over the food rioters on the way out of London. OK, so I just wanted to own one.

Would I pay $2k per month to have a Porsche 24/7, swap a Cayman for a Macan if I needed the space, and so on? You know what, I think I would. It is the logical extension of finance, leasing, contract hire, etc. Just a monthly payment and loads of convenience. Insurance included. Servicing included. Etc.

Is $2k per month really that much money for such a service? No, not really. A brand new Porsche is essentially a commodity.

Would I enjoy my Porsche more if I owned it (singular), watched it depreciate, etc.? I don't think I would.

I'd prefer to own genuinely non-commodity items. If we're talking Porsche, a 993 please. That I would love to own.

Uhh thanks for the generous offer but I’ll pass, not really my style... and the nice chaps at the main Service centre in kings hill are only 20 odd mins away should it need immediate attention.

You should take the little Turkish number there. The resident on-site police might look after it for you hehe

If you’re a wee bit tight try an iwatch, wife doesn’t wear her Rolex anymore. Counterfit watches are very Essex 1999 hehe
