Slow news feed this. I turned to watching the Brexit-fiasco unfold for entertainment biggrin

Best part was when Russell-Moyle picked up the mace. You can't make this stuff up !!

Same here. So much Brexiting going on that there seems to be a plethora of new outside reporters of which their quality makes me think that I must be watching Channel 5 not the dear old Beeb. rolleyes

sic ! Expert comment from the bed-room desk via Skype in 1990's resolution with crackling sound. Kids walking in during broadcast now common.

But Brexit-show is brilliant ! Must dust-off my old DVD-box "The thick of it" with legendary Peter Capaldi. Guess something like this is what's going on behind the scenes:

Makes you wonder how much bad news has been secreted out in the last few days.

"TVR gone bust and all the depositers money has been spent. What you didn't see the announcement yesterday"

Just came across this:

"Griffith demand at the Motor Show was displayed at an astonishing level,
buyers were actually throwing cheques at TVR personnel on the stand.
Staff were reported to have been euphoric when the breaking news of an avalanche of orders -
at a level never anticipated nor seen before - was ´hot wired´ back to them in ever increasingly-
frequent bulletins."

From "The Griffith Story" by Roger Shackleton.
By the way, it happened in 1990.

If there’s no news before Christmas I’m out.
I’ll use the dosh to buy another real Rolex to shut M4tti up once and for good like. I’ll still tell them it’s a fake on the watch thread though wink

You mean it initially filled you with excitement but then realised it was never going to happen?

Can everyone who said 'the new TVR needs to look like that' now eat their hats please.

I guess it still may not 100% look like the camo car, but the small group of journalists that have tried it seem to like it..

I know what you mean. Imagine, when it was pointed out to me that Władziu Valentino Liberace (Liberance to his friends) was gay.
I just thought the feather boas and highly sequenced jackets were joyful flamboyance of a simply splendid performer.....

The things you learn, eh?

That is exactly what I thought. Imagine my surprise at the cinema when my wife persuaded me to go and see, "Behind the candelabra ". I was flabbergasted!

I wasn't the only one to slip out the cinema and go and have a quiet beer while my wife and many other blinkered women watched this to the bitter end! I can't believe rotten tomatoes gave it 95%!

I think we are straying off topic but that is only my opinion.
