Any images of TVRs with these 4 bolt spiderish wheels actually fitted? Can't seem to find any.

Vaughn has been posting pics of some 5 bolt versions fitted to his Cerbera on Facebook. I'm sure he won't mind me re-posting one here:

Thanks - don't look bad. Spiders 'legs' seem slightly less curved outwards if you see what I mean.

I have a Chim with spiders and am swapping it to one with the normal 4 bolt.
Just anticipating that I may get spider withdrawal symptoms but don't want to go to a 5 bolt conversion. That's why these Bola wheels interest me.

I have the 5 bolt 114.3 x 5 Bola spiders in anthracite. They look identical to the TVR spiders.

You'll need to get the hubs changed tho - I've been over and over trying to get 4 stud ones. They don't exist - no market any more.

On mine the wheels do have space in the stud cavity to have a different PCD so if you can find 5 x 112 Bolas then you can use the granada front and rear hubs - no drilling.. Fairly simple to swap if you have a compete spare set of hub, carrier and ball joint etc etc.

Cheers. The chap who had my current Chim was a bit of a pioneer of the conversion and went through quite a bit of trial and error to find the right spider, spacer and tyre sizes to make it work. And work it does.

IMHO, Bola are missing a bit of a trick not to offer a far easier path to any Chim or Griff owners. Could shift quite a few sets when you consider there will still be thousands out there.

The website seems to suggest they do?

rolleyes BALLS!!!!!!!! Wish I'd seen that before I ordered mine. To be fair I've had them since November last year and I think going forward, 4 x 108 is a dead end in terms of decent choice of fitment of wheel. I'll be pushing on with 5 x 114.3

Now they just need to do a 16-inch version. I have the Granada hubs in the shed so eithe 4 or 5-stud would be nice.

Thanks! I checked the site but somehow missed this section. Excellent - I'm definitely going to be looking at these for the new Chim.

Great minds think alike but in the meantime MPO has the best idea.

If the Bola 17" spider was wider I would have considered running TVR 16" spiders on the front with Bola 17" spiders on the rear.

I know how you feel, I've been running 16" spiders for 10 years and couldn't imagine my Griffith without spiders but unfortunately the lack of 245/45/16 tyre choice has become an issue.

There's another thread running in the Chim section on these wheels.
Basically nobody seems to be able to get the penny to drop at Bola.

My Estorils are looking better every day frankly.
