Started off as just a 12k service - ended up with new clutch and solenoid, front brakes, throttle bodies, dash pod repair and a few other bits and bobs. Extended the engine warranty on the car as well for piece of mind. Expensive, but it’s driving so well.

thumbup

I'm going to book our recently purchased Tuscan in for a 12k service later this year- the history file shows it's had all of those bits you've listed done within the last few years (plus engine rebuild in 2014) so hopefully we might get off a bit lighter...

...who am I kidding- I'm sure there will be plenty that needs doing! hehe

I started going through the history file adding up the bills- stopped when I got back to 2010 and was already over £25k eek

I've been for a run out around Norfolk with Ferraris, Lamborghinis, the odd Aston or two and me, in my Chimaera.
I felt distinctly "poor relation" in the car park at the start, but strangely, within 5 minutes my car had the biggest crowd around it, with the dads loving the old school interior and the kids trying to work out how to get in. And to be fair to the other drivers, they all made me very welcome.

When the heavens opened towards the end of the run I realised where the difference was - the others just slowed to 20 mph and pressed the roof button, whereas I got utterly soaked getting the roof out of the boot and installed.
But then i consoled myself, I couldn't afford their service bills, never mind the purchase price of their cars.
But I could join in the fun.
