BOTH the key fobs on my OE alarm on the Chimaera are totally FUBAR. The immobiliser kys don't work either. I know this Meta unit is old so coming by one or two new ones is going to be difficult at best. Unless anyone knows a source??

Failing that, could someone recommend me a decent alarm guy in the Jcn 25 of the M25 area that can rip out that Meta unit and put in a new one?
Any recommendations of alarms would be handy too if any owners have had a good experience with a particular unit.

Many thanks
Cad

Try Abacus alarms for new fobs for a cheap fix.
They supplied two new ones to me about 4 years ago.
In the London area and know the Meta alarm.

I've just had a new Meta alarm fitted to my 96 Cerb at X Works in Kirkham . I know it's along way from you but might be worth giving them a call as the new Meta plugged into the original wiring.

HF Solutions seconded from me too.

David is excellent, advised me with some help diagnosis to start with over the phone, and then when it came to replacing some parts of the original alarm on my Mark 1 Tuscan, he did it professionally and excellently. He has a tonne of experience. I did make quite a few enquiries with garages in the area and wasn't impressed with anyone else.

Have no hesitation in recommending him.

Another +1 for Dave at HF Solutions. He guided me through diagnosing and replacing a knackered Meta immobiliser on my Tuscan. He programmed the new unit to my original Meta alarm and sent back for a easy DIY fix. Very reasonably priced too.

Yes David Fairclough former Meta alarms engineer runs HF Solutions. You will find them on the web. He knows and fixes more Meta alarms than anyone and he carries all the spares. Good luck.

Dave @ HF. He did the work on my Cerbera when the imobiliser failed. Top bloke and mobile, he will come to you (at a cost);)

Another thumbs-up from me for Dave at HF.

He does travel to various locations in the South, so may be worthwhile giving him a call. If it's worth his while, he'll cover 2~3 appointments and you can split his travel costs with the other clients.

Dave as well and only a month ago, I only had one working key and didn't know the 10 digit code.
Put a new board in my non working original key and reprogrammed the alarm and both keys.
So I now have 2 working keys, 10 digit alarm code to order new keys and he also did me another non standard single button fob which is more reliable as a back-up
All for £120 if I remember correctly
