That's good news.
To be honest I haven't booked on due to lack of time, it's 3.5 hours each way to ca dwell for me.
Track day wise I also prefer to use something disposable or hire a car...
Must try and make the effort to bring the Griff sometime though.

One of the reasons this day is a great event although this will be my first although last year i paid but could not make it in the end so still supported the event financially.
That is the event is mainly for TVRs and cars of a similar value,in fairness owners of say a 25k Vixen or a 70K Sagaris can go on track with other cars without having cars where the owners feel its disposable.
In many ways thats what has put me off other commercial track days in the past.
On top of that the track time is divided into 3 groups beginners inters and advanced with instruction for those who feel the need in the beginners section.
On top of that with the numbers kept low it also avoids to many on the track at one time as well.

not everyone who likes to drive their car, is keen on track days.
Me, I like to take my TVR on road trips and have covered up to 15,000 km in a year but although I tentatively drove my car on track on two or three occasions and have some track experience with my former 'hobby' car, I am not a track day goer in se - for starters I am of the persuasion that one should only drive a car on track if they can afford to leave it there as a steaming heap.
Also, a fantastic track car is likely a frustrating road car and vice versa. If I were sort of serious about going to trackdays, I'd get something disposable like an old MX-5, Clio or MG ZS and set it up specifically for the task at hand, instead.
Don't make this a drivers vs. polishers thing. For now, there's still enough pleasure and adventure available on public roads.
Completely agree with this.Me, I like to take my TVR on road trips and have covered up to 15,000 km in a year but although I tentatively drove my car on track on two or three occasions and have some track experience with my former 'hobby' car, I am not a track day goer in se - for starters I am of the persuasion that one should only drive a car on track if they can afford to leave it there as a steaming heap.

I like to get out in mine as much as possible, whether it's for road trips, Sunday drives, or just because. But I've no hankering to take it on track- I'd be paranoid about bending it, and as above, things that make a good track car often do not translate into making a good road car. Plus I'd need to lose my sleeved exhaust to have a hope of meeting the noise regs!
My Chimaera makes a superb road car, so if I was going to get into track days I'd rather do it in something dedicated for the job. Probably some sort of 90's-era lightweight Honda Type R jobby. With a trailer to get it there and back.
PH itself has proven to be an excellent platform itself for arranging meetups - in the last couple of years I've got to know a number of great TVR enthusiasts through here. In fact I'd go as far as to say the TVR community on here (and off!) is the best car-related community I've ever been involved with- so take a bow everyone!

The magazine is a quality production, the articles are only what you send it and the adverts are also interesting at times.
It endorsed crook establishments with air time for RND. I know the story that it’s not DD Edited by m4tti on Sunday 4th March 22:56

I went to one TVR meet. I felt facially hair challenged amongst so many older beard owners.
Travelling from a super market car park, to a cafe, to a pub. I mean how much do you wanna eat in one day
That was my finding many moons ago. Proud as punch in my new (to me) TVR and attended a TVR CC meet to find lots of beards and talks about refurbishing the wishbones of a 1974 Taimar, followed by the most pedestrian "drive" I have ever been on. Travelling from a super market car park, to a cafe, to a pub. I mean how much do you wanna eat in one day
Never went back. To be honest it put me off the whole idea of car meets and car people. Thankfully I found PH and attended a few runs (and socials) and changed my viewpoint. Seems things have changed little

RND was some engine building concern for the person who just couldn’t stick to the well proven outfits and then bleated to high heaven on PH when it all went wrong.
DD? Don’t know, don’t care.
I have to say that I’m curious.DD? Don’t know, don’t care.
Maybe m4tti will be back in a while to enlighten us.

Replace in my post. Maybe m4tti will be back in a while to enlighten us.
Rnd = Rnd Engineering = shysters
DD = owner of RND.
Tricky to add much more with forum rules.. but let’s just say if I was runnng a club with a magazine, these guys wouldn’t be getting editorial space until all members or enthusiasts Who endured them were put right .
Things like that amazed me

Quote, " After talking to all the rebuild companies and visiting each workshop (except TVR Power although I spoke with Dom a few times), Dave at RND seemed to have the best technical knowledge and quality of product at the most competitive price."
Does that include a 100,000 mile warranty?

Including all the other TVRs that attended, I think we had 153 TVRs at that car show.
There must have been getting on for 1000 cars in total. Fantastic array of all sorts of makes and models. The E-types and the 60/70/80s Fords stick in my mind the most, and I had a great time showing my father in law around.
Sadly he died last week, but at least he understood the joy that is TVR.
Never failed to ask me about the car, and to remember his passenger laps at Cadwell Park in my Chimaera.
