Right now there are a dozen on PH (if you include the one that's been stood outside in the sun too long and has melted into a Chimaera). If this is the "right" time of year to be selling your S, how come they aren't shifting ? Apart from the unknown chassis condition, maybe the prices are a tad ambitious ??

Might be returning to TVR ownership by buying an S Series..[ prev had 3 TVRs ]
Obvious that prices are too high as many S Series and others been for sale for months..!
Same money they are asking you can get a high miler FSH Honda S2000....and that's a lot of car !
Any S1 / S2 / S3 not already advertised coming up for sale ?

It had been the factory publicity car as used in the TVR "Sweet Thunder / Decision Engineering" ads, and was very well spec'd. But it had had a very chequered life, as I discovered shortly after buying it in good faith. I sold it for £5,400 fourteen years ago, it would be interesting to see it back on the road.

I know this car and examined it a few weeks ago for the ( then ) vendor who wanted an idea of its value.
Although the recent purchasers have done a good job of cleaning it, It is in a very poor condition having been stood in the open in all weathers for a long long time
The last tax disc expired in 2006 IIRC.
The outriggers are completely shot, I could get my fingers through the holes above each corner, the interior is ruined, and the rear of the bodyshell is badly crazed.
It will need a full body-off restoration, full bare respray, full interior retrim including seats, carpets, dash veneers, new hood and rear window and targa panels recovering, the wheels refurbishing, a full set of new tyres, and REPLACEMENT FRONT INDICATOR LENSES!!!
Probably a lot more besides...
On the plus side, it had a brand new clutch fitted some years ago which has not had any use since ( apart from moving it about the garden.)
If you are thinking about bidding on this car, GO AND HAVE A LOOK AT IT BEFORE DOING SO.
Such a shame to see it deteriorate to such a state.
I'm sure the new vendors could find a unit locally to rent if they wanted to restore it.

Buyer beware !!!!
It appears to have more than doubled in price since last autumn, I provided the UK Ebayer who sold it with the full history up to the time I had the car. I’m sure the (Turkish?) dealer now has all that information, but just in case it got lost I have documentary evidence of the car’s history:
• It was first registered on 3.1.91 by TVR as H372UBV (and it's an S3, not an S2 per the German ad)
• On 16.1.92 it was re-registered as H2TVR, and was featured as the centrefold in “Sprint” March 1992
• On 5.7.93 it was re-registered as H381YGT
• On 10.1.97 it was re-registered as JAZ9785 by a jazz saxophonist
• In Spring 2001 it was exported to Ireland, and in early 2002 it was written-off in a major accident which pretty much destroyed the bonnet (chassis damage unknown). That information appeared not to be recorded by insurers in the UK. The bonnet was patched-up (the damage was still evident when I saw it last year), and a new windscreen fitted
• It changed hands at least twice more in England before I bought it as the 11th owner
• After I bought the car I re-registered it on the previous number H381YGT, that number is still just visible in one of the "not photoshopped-out" pics in the German ad
• I had the seats re-finished (they are electrically-heated items by the way) and sold it on to a chap in Guernsey, with the full details of its history
• It was (as the German ad states) in a warehouse up to last year, but had been stored in the open for many years before that.
Good luck to anyone brave enough to take this one on, here are some pics of how it looked in August 2004.

Incidentally the subsequent reg H381YGT still shows up on Cazana despite having been exported, the MoT history has one prominent word in the advisories -- rust...rust...rust

Trouble is, that car "sold" recently (sold/ended item 292596741060 dated 18th June), but please note, quote: '...selling on behalf of someone with no eBay account.....'. My guess is the "buyer" got cold feet when he/she saw the reality, or this TVR is an Ess Cee Aye Emm

Anyone know anything about this one? A mate is interested - knows what he could be letting himself in for having previously owned a couple of wedges and is very handy with the spanners so will be doing all if not most himself.Cheers
