1/3 off the £
Wages rock botton
People with money worrying about it
Tvr will recover alright, prices are a reflection of the times that’s all.
Which is why most Tvr are tucked up cosy like,,,
Who wants to sell in a bear market.

Just read through all this, what a mare and gutting.

There are loads of tvr’s for sale but nothing that Jumps out as being a car worth buying, but if your car is good and it’s a known they maybe chuck some money at that we a fancy new engine?

I'm not a fan of the under bonnet installation of the SC as it looks a little busy and untidy.

Maybe I'll just keep what I have for a while until something interesting or wortgwhile comes along. Just temporarily lost my TVR for the moment.

I've lost a lot of time on cars this week with the 450 debacle, a 4200 I'm selling and scanning all my Chin's history took ages.

Got to save and reorganise it all as a PDF now. Just seems silly to sell my Chimaera as I like it, it drives well and to sell at circa 12k seems hardly worth it if I have nothing to replace it with.

I think you are right that the not so good ones will get worse and the better ones will stay that way. I don't see any of them moving north though price wise any time soon. Just currently seems to be too much supply and less demand. We all know what that means.

Need to sleep on it.
Just close the bonnet and you wont have to look at it!
All will be forgiven when you plant your right foot into the carpet!
wink

I’ve gone from thinking they look to busy to thinking they look rather cool if done well.

I’m also of the mind other than a few squirts every now and then my N/a car sounds great and has enough power for my needs on public roads.

I raced Mac’s car
Mac is so mechanically sympathetic I blew him off,,,,,,,,, the line,,, miles ahead after 20 yards

Miles behind after 1/4 mile rofl

So he was 20 yards behind me then 20 yards ahead of me,,, thats 40 yards or there abouts.
Such a quick car.

ETA, just remembered
I missed second or third gear I was so excited to be ahead,,, still gained another 15-20 yards on me there after,,, proper fast.

I can confirm the car is ludicrously fast. Properly, properly fast. laugh

You could drive it for five years and not master it. It is a murderous thing, which of course adds to the appeal.

That’s so great to hear it’s not been dumbed down.
I went from having one of the most exciting Tvr moments of my life to total disarray within seconds,,, biggrin

3rd 4th gear, no matter it accelerates more in those gears than most Tvr in 1st,,, monster is the correct word for this car.
A privilege to even know it let alone the guy who created it.

Sorry Dean ;(

Get to Santa Pod in sept and take a good luck at some of the fastest cars about. You’ll love em smile

There’s more out there or make one that way.
I do think a banger would make a great project car to do something similar.
It’s so unfortunate modded cars get such a bad rap, Tvr modded cars are rarely badly done and nearly always rocket ships there after.
What makes Mac’s car, sorry Robsco car so damn cheap is it was one of the best cars anyway, like new before he spent probably 25k on it.
Tvr owners, hardcore hehe

Thanks. Yup, seen this one. Bargain wink

I am not so sure if all the happenings of this week haven't been for good reason. I have never ever seen a car market so flat as it is. Not much is selling and is being advertised for months and sometimes one year plus and re-advertised time and again. The only cars that seem to be selling are sold silly cheap.

I'm not so sure that I am better off holding fire like it seems the rest of the country seem to be doing. I have really never seen it like this.

If you are brave enough there are some great deals to be had. I've been offered a nice 2017 McLaren 570s for £85k a nice 2017 AM DB11 for £83k and a nice 2013 AM Rapide for £41k. All seem to be much cheaper than I would have expected them to be.

Not sure if people are getting nervous, prices are falling, a correction is happening or people just holding fire with not much confidence. Weird times.

Cool, so glad that you like it. Hopefully you'll look after it and treat it with respect, it can bite. Have fun driving

As a TVR purist it was a step from the norm for me to look at this car, if it was an LS conversion I wouldn't have bothered. The fact that it retains the RV8 is a big plus point for me. This will always be Mac's car, it shouldn't be taken away from him what he has achieved here, all the while making it look like it could have been a factory car. It feels a bit of a cheat just buying it and driving it away after everything Mac achieved to get it to work!

Unbelievable biggrin
Don’t you just love Tvr owners hehe

It’s been a bit like a missing member of the Tvr family in a way this last year.
It’s an inspirational car and as I’ve not seen it in like 2 years some pics in its new home sometime would settle the soul
No rush or anything wink

I have a 4l turbo for sale and a 4.6 engine which has been built for a turbo. Rather than adding a turbo to a V8. Not installed yet, so you could install and put your own mark on it. Just a thought. Give me a shout if your interested.

I’ll send pics when I get the chance smile re-trim is down to to the god awful TVR vinyl and colour! I find the magnolia too yellow and the quality is poor. I also want to move the boost control buttons off the wheel to somewhere more subtle, I haven’t decided where yet. The dash top also doesn’t match the windscreen surround... there’s just a few areas I’d like to tweak.
