TVR Chimaera 450S Turbo 2000 W176EOL
Discussion
Having just bought the V8 Vantage when this one fell out of bed a little while back. Then also buying Mark Hunter's old Red Chimaera 500 my bank balance is on fumes. I would have loved to have bought it Rob but I have scraped together what I can from the back of the sofa and everywhere but am shy of what is needed to buy it.
They say timing is everything and it seems my timing is a little off-kilter. Also that things happen for a reason. Not sure what that is at the moment.
I think someone somewhere is telling me that this car isn't destined for me!

If that's true, for what reason did water get into my rear Sam unit on my Mercedes today and make all the electricery go crazy!Strange tailgate openings, hazard warning flashing, key fob not working, indicators not working and the list goes on. All happened together!
As you were.

Worry not Dean, it was only right to give you first refusal. They say timing is everything and it seems my timing is a little off-kilter. Also that things happen for a reason. Not sure what that is at the moment.

Thanks Rob. Much appreciated that you came to me first with the first option to buy. Shame I haven't got any more cash than I've offered in order to buy it. Or shame it wasn't before I bought the Red 500 or it could have been very different.
I'm sure you'll sell it quick enough as it seems a lovely example. Not that I've actually seen it in the flesh as yet but from all I've been told and read about it.
If you feel the need to give me an early Christmas present though I'm here and waiting for you Similarly if I win the lottery or some cash lands in my bank account I'll let you know.

Things have changed at work, basically chaps, and it leaves me in a stick or twist position. I either keep the car and carry on as I am at work, or I take this opportunity to dive in at the deep end and use the funds I would get from selling the Chim and 4200 towards getting a small, home run business off the ground.
The plans are all in place but I would rather use the capital I have tied up in the cars to get it going than to borrow. That way if the business doesn’t go the way I’d hoped, at least my only sacrifice is the cars and not anything more sinister. But that doesn’t mean the cars sell for peanuts...!

That must be some home run business if you need the money from 2 cars sales to support it! I'm always envious of home run businesses because of the relative lack of investment required versus a business requiring premises, equipment, and stock. Are you taking Microsoft on ?
It feels that way Joolz a small cult and specialist car sales outfit is the aim. It’s a huge funnel you’re pouring into the top to take a few quid back out of the car sales game! We will see. It’s a tough climate right now, the key is keeping overheads as low as manageable. I can 100% agree with your there Rob in keeping rlthe running cost low, tight and efficient. Makes a big difference to reduce initial stresses, strains and pressures finding smaller X's each month.
I started my business in 2002 in the lounge of my old flat. Grew it a bit and got people and offices then shrunk back down a bit to keep it small, manageable and more importantly profitable.
Good luck with it and hope it goes well.
If you want to send me over the details on the 4200 I can let my guys know on the Sports Maserati forum as there may be some interest from people on there.
Just come back from an even at Castle Combe with some of them.
