Right, here’s a quiz. Well it’s not really a quiz. It’s just a question really. Only requires one answer.
So, you’ve got 90k in the bank (or not, doesn’t matter). All this hard earned was going to buy a shiny new TVR. Now it isn’t. So it’s still sitting there, doing nothing... here’s the thing, you HAVE to buy a car with it. One car. Doesn’t have to be new... what’s it gonna be fellas? We know what tvrolet went for... I know what my 90k (that I don’t have) will go on... c’mon, fess up smile
Griffith 400. No other contenders here.

Would have been a competitor if the new TVR had ever appeared.

C'mon guys, we're all TVR peeps here....
Speaking of which, how's the barnstorming T5R going? hehe
Morning Iain smile It's not a T-5R or R unfortunately, however, it does seem that the 'lesser' T5 is actually more rare than the T-5R and 850R! Based on numbers for sale, being not so sought after I suspect many have been scrapped frown Have to say it really is a great piece of 'retro' kit, 3 cars in one in fact biggrin When the day comes that the toys have to go the old Volvo estate will be the only 4 wheel thing on the drive...

How's the Rover? over...

No brainer

Even though its now sitting in my garage broken. Booked into TVRSSW for a slave cylinder change.
But happy to just walk into garage and look at this work of art.

If you say T5R fast enough it almost sounds like TVR. My humour went unappreciated frown

She's rusting away quietly thank you Richard. The V8D engine is doing amazingly well. Been keeping an eye on the Tivs for sale so, never know, might have to indulge again. wink

To answer your question, well you know what I would buy - has to be an AM and this Vanquish with 21,000 miles for £79995 would do me fine. cool

Personally I have gone for two cars

I know it's a bit boring having them both blue but so far the missus hasn't noticed the difference so thinks I only have one ;-)

Well, yes. Because I run a company. Employing people and everything!
Post the company number

I'll humour you, because you are clearly not as sharp as you think you are.

Not all companies are registered limited companies. Hope that helps.

That's all you're getting. You're boring now.

A company is a specific legal entity. Many successful businesses operate as sole traders or partnerships, even though they employ people, which I guess is what you're implying.

All companies are registered at Companies House. But not all businesses.

Sadly, Bristol Fighters have not depreciated enough to fit within this budget yet.

So, £90k and let's say we want at least 500bhp to live up to the TVR promise? One might take this V12 Vantage:

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

for £60k, and put the other £30k in the bank to make up for any want of reliability compared to the TVR's proposed crate engine?

Alternatively, if you can cope with a little less power, one could have three of these:

V8 Vantages at less than £30k a pop. Or two of them + £30k in hand for unplanned maintenance smile

Guess the stairs around here will have to get used to being dominated by powerfully built sole traders wink

Anyways. LS powered Ultima but think the budget would soon be blown on undercarriage repairs given the roads around here. And there would be no-where to stow my Brompton...

I saw a Aston vantage V8 today, lovely looks, also wide, but that weight...1630kg ? its a shame, lovely car, but a bit heavy, that also means higher road tax in the Netherlands, but I guess also less sporty nimble drivers feeling?

never driven one though.

Since the final ever TVR rolled off the production line I have owned;

TVR Sagaris
Jaguar XJ
Chevy Camaro 2SS
Range Rover
Jaguar XKR
Jaguar F-Type V8 S
Jaguar F-Type R
Range Rover Velar
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Jaguar F-Pace S

I can't believe that people are waiting for a unicorn when there are so many great cars out there that you can actually buy!

Your last sentence is quite correct, but you seem to have accidentally included a Velar in your list. A typo, surely? hehe
