It all seems a bit weird and sad really, I had high hopes for the new TVR brand, but that was until I saw the new Griffith in the flesh

Comms has been awful, and the 'watch this space', ironic

As others have said, if TVR had anything positive to say, they'd have said it by now, surely?

Meanwhile, the list of deposit holders seems to be dwindling fast

I still hold out a vain hope that it will all come good and i will eventually get my car....
but as that seems a long way off I went and bought an Alpine A110 to keep me sane for a few years !
Which one did you get and how has it been? This is a real option for me and I'd be interested in feedback from someone who was also interested in the new Griff.

You think those holding the share capital are not informed then?
Or are you confusing customer deposit holders with bona fide investors...
And, yes, I would prefer to see more info but can also see why that might not be happening.

However we have to assume they know what they’re doing.
Really?

I think they are the definition of bungling amateurism.

At least Bernie Madoff kept his investors feeling warm. laugh

You don’t think deposit holders are investors? Their money seems to have been used to fund whatever has been going on. At least deposit holders seem to have been able to get their money out, so far. As for share holders, I doubt they will see a penny.

I think it was undoubtedly important to the business plan to have taken deposits; if only to demonstrate a market existed/exists. I doubt the revenue represented by the deposits was that significant in the context of the overall funding of the venture, albeit a fair amount will have been taken and held.

But, so far, there's no indication anyone has lost money; this thread evidences deposits being returned when asked for. It seems to me that all the business can be properly criticised for is for not pandering to the unending clamour for information and for unveiling a design that is commonly perceived as not pretty enough, without anyone not connected to the project really having a clue how it performs.

Extinct? Time will tell but I still hope not.

So you consider TVR would be ‘pandering’ to deposit holders and their base by simply giving an update, or indeed any comms, (or any visibility at all) over the last year??

I have already posted I would have preferred more info but it's really a matter for the TVR directorship. They will be aware some deposit holders are withdrawing due to the perceived silence but we have no idea whether new deposits are being received (unlikely from the PH crowd I expect but the world is much bigger than the hoary diehards in here).

Visibility? Two Rebellion art cars at LeMans in June not visible enough?

I would flick back a few pages and re-read your own contributions along with those of your two encouraging chums. Those that the mods have not deleted or just asserted obvious Mittyesque fantasies that is.

Before everything goes down the drain, I ordered the black overall with logo in the TVR Merchandising shop. It can't be found on the homepage anymore, but it can be found through a Google search.

Arrived today, looks good, love it.
