stop being a fool. I emailed last week, and had a reply from Les, and because of people like you I'm keeping it to myself, and I'll think I'll leave Pistonheads to bh.

personally I put a deposit down, on the chance of it happening, more in hope than expectation. And they have got way further than I expected.
Which is another way of saying I know no more than anyone else. I suspect you got an email along the lines of 'it's all progressing, we've had one or two issues, nothing to worry about...'

Hang on, hang on, let me get this right Woody. You never expected them to make even a single road going car but you handed over a couple of grand anyway, by way of a deposit on a product you never had the slightest expectation of receiving?

Have you ever considered investing in real estate in Florida? My buddy Shelley has got a deal for you!

never made a bet..?

Never took a chance?

Never take a calculated (very small) financial risk on the chance of a good outcome.

Call me woody. I'll call you a t**t

(actually. I'm just out of here, you and others are just very sad people.)

why do you care what I do.

To be fair, if there was any new on the biscuit front or some new stickers for Le Mans, then I am sure New TVR would have provided an update.

If you come on here (or anywhere for that matter) professing to be in the know, but refuse to share your incredible knowledge for trivial reasons, don't expect to well received.

Especially knowledge of unexpected amounts of progress that could help change the negativity around the lack of progress and communication.

Seems very odd to then say you’re not telling anyone in case they take the piss and you’re leaving PHs

And then for another poster to say “good for you mate”

No wonder nothings happening when some people are still happy with this total lack of information and progress.

Exactly.

There's some seriously laissez faire people about, saying they are supporting the 'marque' but not bothered at all in there being no news on progress. Hardly keen to push for success.

Apparently there is news though, but it’s a secret.

Some pretty revolutionary marketing strategies going on here. Only inform about the progress to people who ask and won’t tell anyone else.

There’s obviously no progress of any note at all.

A boycott of this anti TVR thread sounds like an excellent idea.

In December 2018 they were still very optimistic...ow, highly unlikely to start...oeps, my bad :-)

but also, are they already making many parts for all those cars? I mean a lot of parts they don't make themselves, so other companies are in as well, but who are those companies and what is their news around the 'new (old news) TVR Griffith...

The delay on production means deliveries are highly unlikely to start in the first quarter of 2019 as originally planned, especially as work on the factory won’t be taking place until then, let alone the building of the cars. rolleyes TVR boss Les Edgar told Autocar that he believes there is still room for a production start date of March argue, dependant on whether cars can be built in TVR's neighbouring facility as work takes place on the original factory.
