If the Tvr was fast enough to be up the chuff of that Fezza it’s laughing smile would take on a whole new meaning yes
I’m fairly confident that old mustang engine won’t compete with the 800hp + Ferrari unit... ever.

Maybe if they attach said mustang engine to an umbrella it would make a faster contraption than the Ferrari hehe

Supercharged it would in raw numbers.

Where did a figure of 800+ for the Portofino come from? Nothing like that

Is that grin thing spreading now? Are we entering the age of friendly looking cars?

How long does it take to have detailed discussions with a builder!

Agreed. Why do they bother with a nebulous gumpf statement re the builders. So keen to cover up the fragility of their investment I guess.

"TVR have indicated that it is their aim to start vehicle production in Q4, 2020"

Surely that meeting timescale would be extremely ambitious, given that they do not have a single finished/finalised prototype, any certification/homologation of their intended design or as far as been ackonlweged, any of the necessary production engineering staff or logistic chains in place to actually allow any production cars to be built?

To do all that^^ in by Q4 2020 would, ime, be realistically impossible, even given an unlimted budget and engineering resource.......

After numerous ciders, I quickly glimpsed at the pic and the second comment and mistook it for a tdf.

Anyway any more news on the tech board purchase, ready to “freestyle” some more.

I suspect by ‘start production’ they are playing with words and might claim they have started when the first spanner is turned ahead of protypes, type approval etc

Dec update 2018: "We hope to be able to make a formal announcement that works are under way on or shortly after 15th January."

Still searching for someone with deep pockets after all this time. Nothing's changed. Same empty promises......
