I have a Boxta and checking the drains is on my to do list!
smile I mustn't derail the thread but can I ask, is yours a 987 or an earlier model? Even the chaps at Guildford couldn't show me where to clear the drains on my 987. They unblocked them by removing the side vents and panels to physically get to the pipes apparently eek I'd love to know how to do it on the 987 but I can't find anything on the internet.

Thanks, I'll have a look. Porsche Guildford did them back in November but I was surprised they couldn't show me where to do it myself.

For what it's worth, my car has just come off the Porsche service by dealers routine. All the work will be done by me. Not bothered about service continuity as I enjoy doing it myself and you only live once!

Out of very small interest, my son who is a trained mechanic serviced and repaired at 986 some weeks ago that belonged to a friend. He said it was really easy to work on and didn't know what all the fuss was about!

As you were,......................

From experience of both I'd say porsches are much easier to work on than tvrs. Generally easier than a golf tbh.

OK. New topic.

When do we think TVR will fold or will they just bump along the bottom for the next 5 years with no result.

Having the car designed for istream production is in one way smart but does seem commit them to just this production method.

Making things out of steel tube and fibreglass always gave flexibility of manufacturing.

One assumes that the Welsh will want their money back before then?

Not sure if this has been mentioned already due to borked search and double posts discouraging any attempt to check, but apparently Le Mans will be a last hurrah for Rebellion... https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Apologies if a pearoast

Accounts need to be filed soon. That will be interesting.

With no visible income and lots of potential expenses, they'll need to be convincing to avoid 'trading while insolvent'.

This is from the last accounts in 2018. Share capital has been raised since - £3m+ - but the interesting part is para 2.2 below entitled "Going concern" with details of the loan.

Have they met part of that by registering the prototype so it becomes a ‘full production vehicle’ ?

Has there been a recent deposit holder’s update email (secret or otherwise)? I’ve kind of lost track of when the last one was.

Yeah this market disrupting secret pr strategy makes it hard to know what’s going on.

Aston Martin chart not looking good after current numbers. Now down 80% since IPO.

Car manufacturing doesn't look to be too healthy so investment for TVR will be even harder to achieve.

Unless your company is called Tesla.

Ferrari shares (regardless of corona) are predicted to bomb. Interesting article posted on twitter earlier today by Chris Harris.
