McLaren when you own a T5 seems a step backwards rofl
Was never one for buying reliable cars as that seems boring then years ago I was in need of a cheap reliable commute vehicle, a mate at work had this Volvo, an old 360 GLS with leather everything, full spec, 2.0i, gearbox over rear wheels, it went like stink and was the best second hand car I ever owned. It had over200,000 on the clock and 256,00 when I sold it still spanking with barely a drop of rust.
The Damn things are now drifter boys cars, they love em and souped up worth strong money,, typical biggrin
I nailed a Golf GTI in it up the M40 once, someone said I was doing 115 when I over took him on acceleration lol but that’s got to be a lie.
An old Volvo is like the newer Skoda, reliable and every family should own one. And they invented the greatest safety advance ever and never patented it. Ethical buggers thumbup

"We stock a vast range of the latest TVR vehicles"

That's handy!

That's a good way to put some miles on it by testing it to destruction and gaining some much needed road presence and real world feedback.

Torque figures look slightly ambitious though biggrin

""According to the Welsh Government the minority stake will "ensure the Welsh tax payer will benefit from the company's successes""

I'm sure our Welsh voters will be reassured by this statement jester on a par with the "Welsh" firebreak smile

How many of us here actually believe the ‘new’ Griffith will ever reach production?

Can’t see it. Sadly... and I’m genuinely sad about that and feel for all those that have invested... including Les and those that were in support.. yes communication was fecking rubbish, but in the overall scheme of things that’s not the be all and end all..

I watched a programme today where a stand up comedian drove a Tesla model 3, and it was a window to the future. And more than slightly impressive...

We, and our cars, are on our way in to the history books...

I’m going shopping tomorrow and will probably take the Chimaera. Hopefully it will put a smile on someone’s face... (other than me)... and hopefully I won’t see a Golf R behind me... or a Tesla....

I can think of far far better things to do with 750 quid than hire a wet dream for a day... especially when i already own something ‘similar’

Apart from which I think the whole hire new Griff thing is a complete scam... in fact probably contravening current marketing guidelines...
Well detected.

Took the Chimaera shopping in Lytham,St.Annes yesterday .. parked up on the supermarket car park and a young assistant just going onto his shift said "What a great car and what an awesome sound " made his day and mine smile

So TVR Parts can't agree a licence with TVR....

"Update

2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, dealing with the impact of Covid-19, and we thank all of our customers for their support. We remain dedicated to providing the best quality and largest range of parts for TVR cars as well as to ongoing product development, but we have unfortunately been unable to agree the terms of a new licence with TVR. This means that going forwards there will be a couple of changes - we will no longer be able to label the parts as "Genuine" and our company name will change to Racing Green Parts. Everything else will stay the same and we will continue to supply and increase our stock of authentic TVR car parts. With over 15 years of experience working with TVRs, firstly as dealers and, since 2014, as the licensed supplier of parts, we remain dedicated to serving TVR owners. With over 250,000 parts already in stock we can confidently claim to offer the best service available in helping you keep your cars on the road!
We hope that you wish to continue to receive emails from us but should you wish to opt out please inform us through the link in the footer below. We are requested to pass on all customer details to TVR but will not do this without first obtaining your consent which we will do in due course by separate email."

Wow that’s the first commercial white flag. Suspect TVR didn’t have a strong bargaining position....!
