That was pretty much exactly the same time that I was up because of tooth barking dogs, because of noisy foxes outside! Not at all happy at the time .

I could have ruled the world at 5am. Stripped and rebuilt an engine, painted the house or designed an office block.

I’m useless now. Can’t even tie shoelaces.

I just wanted to go back to bed! If it was my wife, once she’s up she would go down to a 24-hour supermarket and do the weekly shop in the middle of the night……………raving mad smile

I reported on here, because it was important that last winter I had in excess of 50 molehills! I tried those metal steel trap mole traps which caught absolutely nothing and every couple of weeks I cleared away a few wheelbarrow full of soil because the back garden looked like a scene out of World War I. Then miraculously they disappeared. Garden has been free of them for at least four months.

My neighbour also had moles at the same time, not half as many as us. He employed a mole catcher who caught exactly zero moles!

Maybe you need to burrow a ladder to fix it!

I had moles in my garden and was shown how to get rid of them.

Firstly you need those metal mole crushing devices. Plus a pair a gardening gloves which need to be dirty with soil to ensure your scent isn’t on the trap and finally some old newspapers.

Find a freshly dug mole mountain. Carefully with gloved hand dig it out to find the run. Put a set trap in the hole. Now wet newspapers, hold over the trap bringing the paper onto the ground the two prongs of the trap should be showing. Finally cover the newspaper with the earth.

Repeat in as many runs as you can find.

Then leave for 48 hours, you will know its worked as the prongs will be together. Now go the trap and release the trap leaving the mole in the hole cover over with earth. Leaving the mole there will rot and put off the moles.

I caught 3 in my garden and haven’t had any since.

One final thing, be careful with the traps as they can easily cause humans and dogs/cats an injury

I just used the traps on their own and set them with my hands. I got zilch.

I will remember your tips for next time. I have left the traps still covered in earth on the end of my workbench ready to go.

I was successful and caught about 14 squirrels last summer…….

Is this a breed peculiar to Surrey? wink

P.S. police helicopter woke me at 3.45am circling above. Just another car chase apparently. Been a bad week though - 2 elderly people walking home at 6.30pm when a car deliberately ran them both down. 3 big brave machete wielding scrotes jumped out and robbed them of a couple of quid. They are both in hospital. Then 2 nights later, a 69 year old lady walking home when another big brave scrote mounted the pavement and ran her down, killing her. He's been arrested for causing death by dangerous driving in his Seat Leon.
The first incident is just 1/2 mile away and the second 1/4 mile. mad

FFS Iain! It seems that we live in different worlds.

That shouldn’t be happening anywhere in England.

My eldest is a copper in Crawley. That is a sthole and what happens there is pretty bad, loads of violent domestics and an unusual amount of suicides!

As long as I remember to switch on the electric fence around the chicken enclosure, we’ll be okay…….

Not everything is bad though. Just got my 'show car' back from the paint shop. And like my turbo Chim, made a satin black grille for it.

So it seems we might have been completely wrong about the number of deposits, you know. In January 2021 LE told Evo Magazine in an interview:

'The 500 Launch Editions are sold out. In fact, we have 700 orders, and between ten and 15 per cent of those are for left-hand drive.’

So that would equate to £63million worth of orders (at £90k each).

In 2020 in the blurb for the bond issue LE says:

'The first year’s production is fully sold out with the 500 limited Griffith LE supercar launched at the Goodwood Revival, demonstrating the
brand appetite and generating in excess of a £40m order book.' (presumably £45m?)

So how does TVR maths work then? Surely if you are chasing funding you would be shouting 'we have an order book with over £60m?'
In the same interview LE says TVR Parts is up and running. Erm, no it isn't, you formed a company, that's all. Anyone doing due diligence before investing might be forgiven for having doubts.
