Ok I’ve sent an email suggesting it looks more Tuscan than Sagaris and can they give me the details of the conversion. Let’s see what they say

I'll guess they'll not reply.

As the sellers they should hold the V5C , which will state the model . So there can't be any excuse !!!
If not the VIN will also confirm the model.

Isn't it illegal to advertise something as something different to what it is ?
A Tuscan Mk1 can't be advertised as a Sagaris under trades description act ?
Maybe Piston Heads gurus should be more careful about what is advertised on their site .
It is. Its an offence contrary to the Misrepresentation Act 1967. There are 2 types of misrepresentation - fraudulent and innocent. No prizes for guessing which one the seller would plead as he probably hasn't a clue about a targa Sag. scratchchin
...which he could only plead up to the moment that someone (here?) educates him on the error of his ways. wink
Then he'd have to reword the ad, right?
Yes, I imagine he doesn't know the finer details of Tuscans/Sags/T350s etc. If it says Tuscan in the V5 then he's still being naughty. On the other hand if the V5 has been changed to Sagaris it would be hard to prove he's done anything wrong I think? scratchchin

Search Tuscan on Auto Trader and it doesn’t appear, search Sag and it does !
It does however list it as Tuscan / Sagaris
I’m interested to see how this pans out ??

It’s a Tuscan, it’s as simple as that.

Doesn't look like a Tuscan to me

Perhaps it should have been given a completely different name

Tusagis?

Doesn’t matter what it looks like, it’s registered as a Tuscan, which under the smart paint and body panels, it is.

Understood

The thing is if one was to remove those panels it wouldn't look like a Tuscan

Definitely a fine example of how wrong the system is, none of this could happen ehhhhhh if it didn't

I reckon it would look exactly like a Tuscan because that’s what it is. Just look at the interior pictures, roll hoop/roof panel and doors they’re all pure Tuscan. And I bet the chassis, running gear and engine are all Tuscan too so it’s very clear cut this is not a Sagaris with the roof chopped off, it’s a Tuscan with a front and rear facelift.

This can’t be worth more than £40K surely, but the brief description makes it sound like TVR built a one off Sagaris for a special customer, which is not correct.

Still registered as a Tuscan. See the screen shot above. What a bunch of jokers.

Thanks, hadn't seen that

Would modifications like this alter the vehicles handling?

In the case of this car it’s the one thing that’s not going to be right is the handling. The usp of the sagaris is the altered geometry. Unless they chopped the Tuscan chassis about and altered the pick up points it’s still going to handle like a Tuscan. Not nice lol.

First production Sags were not supplied to dealers until early 2005
