Isn't it illegal to advertise something as something different to what it is ?
A Tuscan Mk1 can't be advertised as a Sagaris under trades description act ?
Maybe Piston Heads gurus should be more careful about what is advertised on their site .
It is. Its an offence contrary to the Misrepresentation Act 1967. There are 2 types of misrepresentation - fraudulent and innocent. No prizes for guessing which one the seller would plead as he probably hasn't a clue about a targa Sag. scratchchin
The seller may have difficulty proving they are innocent as the seller (and 24 hours later PH fraud team) have both been contacted by the club and advised of the true status of the car.
Previously I’d asked why the advert doesn’t have any details about the car, do we think that’s to avoid putting anything in writing? If so it looks like they’ll well aware of what it is

The lines are correct from a side view but as you move to the back it was impossible to flow them correctly due to the drop glasses.
The targa panel fits into the back of the car through the tailgate and sits into a recess in the wheelarches that stop it sliding forward .
Wishbones, uprights and steering are all modified and I am lookind into producing a modular rear alloy rear upright that will also work on the standard car .
Thanks for the great remarks and any further questions welcomed , David
Yes this is a customers car

Reviewing the original thread it does appear that the chassis and associated components have been modified, potentially inline with a sagaris. That being the case this will be better than your run of the mill Tuscan.

I doubt the steering column is changed from Vauxhall Cavalier to Ford Modeo, and the slower Sag/Tuscan Mk2 rack worm gear is used. As for the chassis width and suspension pickups then no chance and I doubt it has Sag steering arms.

Why do you think that. Modifying the pickups is hardly Higgs boson stuff.

Because a Sag chassis is different dimensions to any other T car.

Which dimensions? If the track is the same, and the suspension components replaced front and rear then the primary problem with the Tuscan chassis is resolved.

What is the primary problem with the Tuscan Chassis if someone doesn’t mind answering. Excuse the ignorance.

I can see this quietly disappearing from this dealer and reappearing somewhere else with another description.

PistonHeads received at least 2 emails over the weekend reporting this as a misrepresentation so I think PistonHeads have reclassified it as sold and removed it. Wonder if the dealers are aware yet?
