Oh no, not Melling again! I

I think that the OP ought to read the many PH threads about Melling and the Speed 6 engine, Autocraft and the attempted "fixes", his Hellcat, Wildcat, the raffle, the move to Portugal etc.

Also have a look at this:

http://www.rndengineering.co.uk/tvr_all/page_p6_tv...

They claim to have bought the original blueprints in 2005 from Melling. It is difficult to understand whether he/they thought that the camshaft was the problem, when he was giving his Middle Wallop talk and when Autocraft were involved. There is little mention of the camshaft being the problem on one page, and then on another there is talk of a redeveloped one, that seemed to involve Autocraft, and then talk of some litigation with Racing Green who were alleged to have a similar alternative camshaft. Whether an alternative camshaft was really required to make the engine reliable is another matter.

It would be interesting to know to what extent the camshaft has been altered by the engine builders within the TVR community who have successfully rebuilt the engines and who are offering long warranties over their work.

To be fair, his comments were about the Tesla roadster .. and that faded into obscurity.

He made some good comments about how much it would cost to put TVR back on the road though..
