As many of you know I’ve made and sold a little over 100 bonnet rods both the same size and a extended version for both cars.
I’m looking for some feedback, pictures and reviews from anyone who’s bought one.

Nicely made product but my only criticism is that you have to remove the original Tvr ball from the bonnet and fit the supplied one, which is easier said than done as it has an inaccessible nut on the back.
Could it be made to just fit the original bonnet ball?
No offence intended.

I totally agree with you, problem is that because of the quick release fitting if you match up to the standard ball joint to fit inside it would have to be huge which then in turn adds more weight and it would catch on the inner wing. I did look into it. Changing the ball joint isn’t a hard job. Yes you have to drill your way into the box on the Chimaera but it’s not rocket science and or time consuming. It’s a small price to pay for a rod that’s twice as strong, safer and longer than the crap original one that bends and falls off 😀
