Hi all,

I am hopefully going to complete the purchase of my forever dream car a TVR Chimaera 5ltr (all being well) later this week. I want to keep the car standard for the foreseeable, but - I would like to enhance the overall look with maybe some additional factory/non-factory options to make it look a little more smarter and finished. I am think of door step plates with TVR logo, it currently doesn’t have these, but some I have seen do. I would like to tastefully update/improve the engine bay, with a bit of aluminium/steel/maybe chrome, basically making it look a bit smarter and more up to date. Does anyone have pictures and description of what you have done and also where do I find the parts/matching TVR parts. I have looked online and haven’t really been able to source very much. Many thanks

Plenty of polishing, a few things highlighted in yellow, a few home made covers on the coil, P.A.S reservoir, and the clutch fluid reservoir.

New heat shields covered in perforated aluminium, and a few more home made heat shields to protect the aux belt,

and on the opposite side,a cover to protect the otter switch wiring, and foil faced cloth on the air hose to the plenum.

Some of this is cosmetic, but some of it is a must have I.M.O

Take your time and do things at a steady pace. Things like the above can be done during the worst of the winter months.

As a TVR owner you will learn to adapt, and not everything is "off the shelf" You just have to get a bit inventive.

Good luck with anything you do, and remember.....pics, pics pics, so we can all see your improvements.

Silicon tubes, PAS and Oil filler cap lettering detailed with powder paint,
Braided SS breather / purge tubes. Hand polished plenum detailed hand polished rocker covers detailed with powder paint and hand polished coil. Flame trap and offside rocker breather in brushed aluminum.

Old picture but all tubes now have anodized tube finishers and swirl pot and exhaust manifolds and main cat polished.

Dont forget water overflow bottle polished and blue cap replaced with a brushed aluminum.

Lots of gizmo’s available on the usual parts sites … you can do a lot by hard work over the winter if you want to polish or paint stuff.

I bought some polished stainless steel heat sinks to fit over the manifolds but did not fit them in the end. To each his own!

Recently saw on PH a beautifully plated throttle spring assembly and fuel rail ..top job … I forget who posted it.
