Is the E5/E10 issue just fuel hose related??

I'm wondering whether it is possible to become E10 compliant by simply swapping out the flexible fuel tubing. Is there anything else in the fuel system that could fail if exposed to higher ethanol concentration?

The main problem is ethanol is hydroscopic, so absorbs water. If you lay the car up for the winter with a tank full things can start to rot

E10 has less energy per unit volume,in comparison to ethanol free and E5.
If your engine management system can sense this ,and add appropriately more fuel ,you are fine, although mpg will decrease!Fuel consumption will increase ( its why E10 is in my opinion a con trick).
Best to use Esso Supreme 99+ unleaded ( officially E5) but actually ethanol free in the southeast and midlands, ethanol free even in northern stoke on trent!
